Gasket between turbo and first cat

I may be wrong, but I don't think the j-spec has a gasket there. Just use a bit of firegum to be safe.

hmmm, that doesn't seem the best approach as I would have the thought the pressure built up due to the restrictor ring in between the 2 cats would force the sealant out... maybe

What does everybody else do when fiitting the decats?

cheers

Neil

I had the same problem and I couldnt find a gasket anywhere :( the exhaust place said paste would just blow out but it was my only option so it got a good pasting and its still fine about 6months later. I think everyone who gave me advice just used paste themselves aswell. Oh and use paste on the other joints along with a gasket because the exhaust place just used gaskets on the rest of the exhaust and all the joints leaked so I had to redo them myself, I wasnt a happy chappy after paying for it but atleats the first decat pipe went on fine :) which was the reason I payed in the first place as Iv been told that can be a right pain to change.

Pastes like firegum go hard with the heat so no chance of them blowing out:)
