robin
Recently i've been doing a bit of work on the car and every time I recconect the battery the alarm goes off. It's not a problem; just a pita I have a small barrel key which I assume is to set the alarm to valet mode but where do I use the key?? I've found the alarm siren right near the battery but cant figure out where to put the key to disable the alarm. Any ideas? I think its the stock alarm system on a UK Spec. ivan
There may be a plastic cover over a keyhole on the siren part.

robin
I found the key hole; its a stock toyota system as it has a toyota logo on it. turning the key seems to have done nothing. The alarm is still active and comes on any time the ignition has been switched off and then a door opened. Also the alarm has sounded for a second or so a couple of times while driving... think it might be a bit broken.
