ive had a second opinion on it, and it appears that they used a mig welder on a tig welded exhaust system.

its the only side which is visible on the car, and to be honest, it doesnt look rather good!:(

i need some opinions whether this is acceptable, and what should i do?

thanks

si

It looks as if the welds were made using steel filler wire, instead of stainless. Whilst this may still give an acceptably strong weldment it may not be aesthetically very pleasing. I can't believe the makers of the exhaust originally did this, am I to assume someone else has modified it for some reason?

Any welder with the knowledge to turn a welder on knows this is not the way to do the job, i suggest a red hot poker with the cold end shoved up his ar** would be suitable justice, He'd either have to let his eyes water or burn his hands.

Sorry mate you were the victim of a cowboy.

chris someone welded brackets onto the exhaust as due to the tight fit out the back.

Wow, that's pretty messed up.

Question 1, is it fixable?

Question 2, do you have a receipt for the work (ie it wasn't done for cash off the books)

you tell me bud, i only bought a £450 buddy club backbox as i didnt want a backbox not big enough so the supra, as most off shelf were 2.5 inlet, i.e too small.

went to get it fitted thinking it would need choping up a bit to fit my car.

yes i paid in cash, but have a receipt for work carried out

Glad to hear you have a receipt.

I'd now take it and the car back for an inspection and let them at least attempt to fix it....if they think they can.

its funny ewen, as the sides dont look low.

but you know my huge arches, the superstreets are on no thread all way round.

the rear arches have to be cut and rebuilt, and ive removed all front arch liners, need to move the water bottle, 5mm away from my intercooler pipe on full lock, lmao
