Since removing the big cat, the 2nd tubby seems to come in earlier, around 3500rpm and is much smoother. No big kick around 4000 that I had before.

Any ideas? is it normal?

Its making over 1bar now without that cat in.

Still pulls well, just no kick, more a steady surge.

Thanks

Yup, it's normal, less back pressure, less restrictive = Quicker spool up:)

Although, you should still get a pretty big kick when numero 2 starts singing, it's alot more noticeable when both cats are out and when the boost is at 1.2 Bar.

:yeahthat:

I get a massive kick at 3800-4000 when 2nd comes in - always makes me lose grip if I have my foot even slightly pushed down too far, so traction control is always off!!

Also, the exhaust note is noticibly different - its louder, sportier and has more of a "whooshing" sound.

I went from 1bar to 1.2 and thought that it would be just a little faster but boy was I wromg!! Much much faster!! :D
