right now im trying to find an insurance company that will cover me on an Sz supra, sadly no insurance company that iv'e tried will cover an import car.

has anyone got suggetions on what insurance companies i should try?

Skyinsurance wont cover me until december (need two years on my liscence)

adrian flux gave me a quote of £3000

are there any other ones i can try? at the moment in 19 but i will be 20 in 3 months

if i cant find one that'l insure me im going to have to buy a different car as i will be loosing the use of my current car in september.

People on here mention A Plan, Lancaster and Elephant a lot. Elephant seem to do pretty competitive quotes, but I've heard people mention a few nightmare stories about them when it comes to claiming anything from them.

With my decorated license, I'm not planning on claiming, but Elephant sorted me the best deal :)

A cheap quote doesn't mean it's the best option for you.

I got absolutely screwed by Elephant, after a they stated they wouldn't insure a car with a BOV (it's not on their 'list of options'). Long story...

Now that insurance companies are offered pre-approved value schemes I wouldn't go with a company without one. It's a huge Peace Of Mind knowing that regardless of what happens the supe is insured to that value.

On the other hand, if I had a basic NA auto I bought for £3.5k it'd be insured on a bare minimum plan.

I had to wait until I turned 21 to get my car, after wanting one for absolute ages. Most companies wouldn't even quote me until I was over 21. In the end I went with Elephant to build up my NCD a bit more (I have 0 atm...) and then I plan to change to Sky or similar specialist insurance firms.

sadly is such a vague thing to search for its a bit difficult to find, most people dont talk about their insurance, mainly just their cars

jsut did a quick search and found pretty much nothing for insuring a 19/20 year old

Have a try with A-plan, sainsburys, tesco, kwik fit, egg etc.. I took a day phoning around for my insurance. Prob best to search car insurance on google and try every one of them.

I did mention the club, but don't recall the person I spoke to having either of those names. Will give it a try again next year.
