anyone know what i need to be able to play online would love to turn on the xbox and play live online...

my modem is behind my tv too

your going to need xbox live subscription if your modem is behind your tv then just cable a ethernet cable to your xbox and modem and bobs your uncle thats after you configure you xbox on the xbox dashboard

You should only need the Xbox Live Subscription £40 i think for a year, thats what i paid. All cables should of came with the xbox package.

But when you do subscribe you do need to enter your Credit Card details, just follow the simple setup guide.

Some ISP's might not do Gaming capabilities best checking with them, if they do, just hook it up easy!

just notice my modem has only one slot on there so when am on xbox do i have to disconnet house internet ?

yep thats a standard modem they all have one socket the modem will only get on ip address if you want to share get a router. then you can have 4 wired pcs and quite a few wireless ones

You can also get a wireless adapter for the 360, thats what i use, and just picks up from my wireless router, no messing, just plugged it in and away it went.

You shouldn't need to call namesco but you are probably best getting yourself a router. The modem you have at the minute may not be suitable for the Xbox as a lot of the basic modems which ISP's give out are USB modems (they connect to your PC via a USB cable instead of an ethernet cable).
