Sparky Posted May 21, 2007 Share Posted May 21, 2007 Hi all. When i bought my Supra last month i honestly thought that the 220bhp would be plenty of power... How wrong was I! Ive been bitten by the power bug and now want more power. I'd rather not go TT at the mo because insurance is abit High until next yr but im willing to spend money to get more power out of the N/A. I know theres probably not loads i can do but someone did mention a throttle body conversion? Ive never seen 1 on a supra and god knows where i'd get the throttle bodies from. Any ideas? CJ Posted May 21, 2007 Share Posted May 21, 2007 You are right in thinking that there is not too much you can do (cheaply) by ways of increasing power on the NA. Unless you start thinking in terms of NA/T or the ilk, most of the mods will give a very limited return in terms of cost. Nic Posted May 21, 2007 Share Posted May 21, 2007 As said you won't get big gains, but there are a few things that will give to some extra power/torque 1. Aftermarket exhaust 2. 2nd decat pipe 3. Tubular manifold (this also replaces first cat) 4. Reduce weight of car 5. A full service ie. changing all fluids, plugs, O2 sensors, etc. to make sure your engine is running as well as it can do.
