Are you still after a stock Toy Yoda radio cassette thing?

Is it UK ?
Can a UK stock be fitted into a Jap Stock?
If so - and it is a UK one - i might consider it if Paul doesnt!

You work for the BBC???????!!!!!!!!!!
How much do you want to bump off Quentin Wilson? Could you get a gun in there?

I'll mail you if I definitely can get it, Mr Booth.

Boy would I!
Unfortunately, wrong building and wrong business unit.
I work in for 'BBC Technology' in Business & Commercial Ventures, specifically turning BBC inventions into money through development licences although, just between you and me, I'm missing the smell of solder flux so much, I'm almost certainly accepting an offer as Software Director at a company who design embedded systems (from navigation systems for Mercedes and a luxury off-shore cruiser to colour hand-held 802.11 equipped PDAs for Tesco). We'll see.

Wossat actually mean?
I know about the frequency expander but what does it do to the MMI?

Errr......MMI? Wassat?
I'm not up on car audio, this is just what's in the car (which I don't use much, other than to watch the aerial go up and down)

Man Machine Interface.
What's the visible evidence of the frequency expander, e.g and extra nob, e.g. have to scan the band twice, etc.?

It didn't have anything noticable - I just switched it on briefly and caught ViBE FM or something.
I'm no expert as you can see

So, can anyone state categorically what impact the frequency expander has on the usability of the j-spec ICE, i.e., the way it handles?
The band expanders I've seen make the frequency range 18Mhz (?) higher so if the radio was displaying 80.8 FM you are actually on 98.8 FM.
I don't think you get the full range of a UK radio though.
Aftermarket UK stereos are a much better option IMO.

OK, thanks. I had already dumped my J-spec head and I'm determined to get a UK-spec head (I want the dash near original).
Do get a proper uk system Paul. My wifes J-spec has the FM extender, and it is annoying having to add the extra 18 to see what statioon ur at. NOT worth IT!!!
