View Full Version : Pics of my new 911 Turbo
Well the day finally came when I could pick the car up, been a long 2 weeks, but boy has it been worth it. Here's some pics I took just before we took it, it's prolly the cleanest it will be for a while as they had just fully prep'd it. Will get some better shots in more scenic locations later.
First impressions of the cars handling are stunning, power delivery is superb, grip is unreal & the car oozes confidence on the road.
I'm off to open a bottle of wine & sit & stare at it :D
nice car dude i like it :)
So you'll be giving DMS a call then? ;)
Oh, and nice car!
nice car mate, hope you enjoy driving it as much as a supra ;)
You lucky, lucky b*stard. I'm jealous as hell but really pleased for you at the same time :)
If you ever need anyone to valet it then i'm available if you pay my fuel bill ;)

Nice car!!
Lucky s*d ;)
Great car! :OK:
I'm real happy for you bud! Looks like a real car :) You have a great set of cars now :)
Thanks for all the comment peeps :D
Seb, will be staying standard for the near future, when the exhaust eventually goes, I may go for an upgrade package that includes an exhaust rather than paying for another standard one.
Lol, cheers Danny,
I hate Porsche owners and particularly the fact that I am not one of them.....:)
Beautiful car mate, enjoy!

Thanks again guys,
Cheers bob, I couldn't ask for anything more than a 911 & a single Supra, one fast & safe, the other a crazy machine to scare the living daylights out of you :D

Be happy. We all have small p***s's. ;)

Oh very nice Danny, it looks like brand new

Cheers mate, I think the new look is partly helped by the detailing that was done on the car, Swissvax, or something like that.
You're right, wine is on hold, off out in it again @ 7:00, can get drunk after that :D

Is that the petrol flap on the front wing? That will get some funny looks at the petrol station. Also on the interior shot it looks like it’s only got one huge pedal in the middle.
I like that, enjoy driving it :)

Petrol tanks are always at the front on 911s.
You're right - it does look like they forgot the fit a brake pedal!

Cor blimey! Look forward to seeing this tomorrow :)
Will be down there around 1 Steve :)
One of my favourite cars! Wish you all the best driving it you lucky bugger! :)
nice car  , well done you :) !
Wow she's a beauty! :) Well done! What it like to drive?
Cheers for all the kind words :)
Had a bit more time in it this evening. To drive the car is superb, it's an auto (as you can prolly tell from the interior shot), so some 911 purists probably think the car has lost some of it's edge without the manual box, but I love the transmission, it is silky smooth, it's pretty intelligent (like if you ease off the throttle whilst cornering it doesn't up-shift immediately as it knows you might just be feathering the throttle).
The car feels soooo stable on the road, chucking it road b-roads it just loves it, it's a case of point & go. I don't think I've even made it break a sweat yet, but then again I'm not used to 4wd cars, always been a rwd guy so have learnt to treat all cars with respect through twisties.

Nice u lucky bugga he he...
Looks very nice, I have only ever driven a Porsche Boxster S and found it quite small inside, I'm only six foot, are these bigger:)
Sorry, I do like your car, but I have to say...
How long until someone on here beats you with their Sup?...
How long until someone on here beats you with their Sup?...
Whatever car you have...there's always a bigger fish. A porker is totally different.
Really nice motor fella. If I ever sell the supe it will be a sensible 911 turbo or something stupid like a old US car :D

Judging by the only track day I've been on, not long :D The GT2 is a bit of a problem though :innocent:

Not out of our league though is it?...
(Edit : I'm not dissing the Porker, I do like them a lot, but it's got to be something some of our cars can compete with!!)

You won't lose rwd characteristics totally with this mate, the transmission will start off with rear wheel bias with only 5% engine power to the front via a viscous coupling, this increases to around 35% to front under normal driving conditions and max of 40% to front in extreme situations.
Are you driving with the PSM switched off yet?;)
Im a big 911 turbo fan, really nice car mate, well done:cool:

3.6l twin turbo, 420bhp/560Nm of torque available through a large chunk of the rev range is nothing to be sniffed at though and thats stock. I've driven one with hybrids and sports cats+exhaust, ECU remap running 1.2bar boost, was manual though and seriously went like stink.
Auto/Tiptronic's not such a bad thing though, very intelligent. Considering the Supras age the Auto's on Supes stands up pretty well......... could do with that extra gear though.
That's lovely. I'd like one myself when I grow up.
I find the Porsche range a bit confusing. Your car is better than the Carrera models right? you must be near the top of the range.

Carrera2's start of the range followed by C4's, with turbo's at the more expensive end of the range, the turbo cabriolet and turbo S just a little more expensive (well you could probly pick up a decent enough Supe TT and have change with the difference :) )
The GT2 tops of the range (bit of a handful and not as easy to drive as the turbo)
Think the GT3 just below the turbo price wise, NA with less power than the turbo but a fantastic drive especially my fave the GT3 RS.:p
Lovely bit of kit you have there, love porkers.

As for the range think it goes something like this, if not sure i will be corrected.
Carrera
Carrera4
Turbo
TurboS
GT2
GT3
Actually the GT2 may be above the GT3, but slightly less of a drivers car.

I'm not sniffing at it, I'd love to have one!... I do like that car (as I think I said above!!), it'd just be great to see a Sup racing/beating/whatever one!...

I'm sure quite a few Supes on the forum could give one a good run for its money if not leave one for dust, just in stock form they still take some beating.:)
Another thing that is guess overlooked is how much one would set you back compared to the Supra, so in comparison the Supra is one hell of a lot of car for the money.
You're singing on the same songsheet I was trying to promote mate :)...
I'd still love one though :)

GT2 (bout £110,000 new) i would say is more of a drivers car, cos you need to be one hell of a driver to cope. With all the power of the turbo model, but to the rear wheels and lightweight too. Pretty much a turbo'd GT3.
Costwise GT3's (bout £73,000 new) a little cheaper than Jevansio's turbo just under the £90,000 mark new!

I love my Supra, and doubt you'd find a car that comes close for the money, fix Porsches for a living but it does pay enough to own one!:d
lol - Like buying a Sup for £10K, and then chucking £100,000 into it?... (Or even £63,000 for the other one??)
Looks very nice, I have only ever driven a Porsche Boxster S and found it quite small inside, I'm only six foot, are these bigger:)
The back seats are tiny, even more so than the Supe, front is pretty normal, I'm 5'8" and it feels comfortable, the way the car feels on the road though does give you a sense of it being smaller than it really is.
I'd really like one of those... if I wasn't 6ft 10 and could actually get inside it! :)
Not driving with the PSM off yet Stevie :D
Totally understand where you're coming from Pot, there's a buzz about beating a car which cost more, I used to love doing it in my old MR2's (beat a Porka convertible which prolly cost x 10 what I payed, maybe more :D).
That's why I keeping the Supe though, it's such a great car in terms of looks/power/tuning potential. If I do ever get beat I'll be making a mental note of the car, & bringing the black beast out to hunt it down :eyebrows:
As for videos of Supe vs 911, I think me & Michel are already trying to sort something out, add to that his brothers 4.5 Cerb for some great video action :D
Thanks for all the kind words though chaps.
A 911 is one of the few cars that i would want in manual.

As good as the Supra is especially in terms of value for money I do consider this car to be a different league. It’s beautiful, lucky you having this and an amazing Supra.

I didn't have my camera with me to take some snaps of your car matie!!! It was at my mothers :(
Fingers crossed they'll sort out a couple of issues and yeah I'll be running :)

No worries man, great to meet you, yip see ya on the 8th :D
Hi mate,
absolutely stunning car u've got. To be honest I hate the fry egg style front oval lights. Not a big fan of them, but all in all its a solid motor and very quick.
I've always asked my self this Q, if I was to sell wot would I get, Skyline R34 GTR & 911 Turbo would be top of my list, so u've done well.
Wots running costs like on 911 T, pads & discs, cam belt, service? Is it a lot more expensive to run in comparison to a Supra? As I know to change a Cam belt on a Ferrari F355 is £1,500 and needs replacing every 12k miles. :(

Cheers Wayney,
Running costs, I've heard they're not too bad, 12k service interval, I guess it depends on what needs replacing each time, ask me in 12 months & I'll give you a better answer ;)

Lucky lucky s*d.:( Enjoy bud :)
Cheers chaps,
yip I am Gaz, esp since I'm without the Supra :(
Nice car dude, very jealous, but come on make us normal folk even more jealous and tell us how much she cost you......
My Supra was a once in a life time buy at 20k, never again could I so I like hearing of big money stories, cause it just makes you think I could get used to that

In another thread Jay hinted that it was around the £50k mark ;)
Very Nice car mate I would love one of these.
