We're organising another trackday at Crail. This time it will be a sunday evening 5pm till 8pm.
Its 35 (17.50 deposit required. 17.50 on the day)
Deposits needed asap to confirm the date, but by 31st at the latest

Just a note to add i've been a member on here for ages (Adam Kindness) if your at all woried about where your money is going etc :). I also did a track day on Crail airfield a few years ago in my old supra.... it was great fun, and a good place to get to grips with the car without killing yourself or others :)

What sort of pennies did it knock you back out of interest ??
The first one I managed to break was around £1,750 delivered including a 4,000 stall PI torque convertor (hi stall) and including shipping. That was from Dusty at MVP (highly recommended!).
This one is kindly being supplied under warranty.

I'm not mental powerwise yet, have slowly been preparing my car for that and the only things missing now are a nice fuel system and a turbo kit.
Still on stock J spec twins, it's just I have a particularly stressed drivetrain these days ;)
When I was still running the stock SMIC and ECU, BPU with 1bar boost I ran a 12.5 @ 110MPH. I've yet to run it in anger with all my new bits on and was in the process of mapping my car fully myself when I had the box failure.

those TC's really seem to help times :)
Only done a run in the GTR when std 0.8bar) ... 12.6 at 109 i think... not sure what its at now... but its quicker. 800cc injectors ordered, twin pumps and swirl pot arrived :)
And the big ends on the datsun they will be a knockin!

Got some info on discounts back from Crail too. If your doing the 1/4mile during the day you WILLL GET A £5 DISCOUNT. You will need to sign on again for the trackday though, so it would be a good idea to keep your wrist band from the 1/4m during the day :)

Just a quick email to remind you about the trackday and to go over some points of interest for the day.
Sunday the 24th June 2007
16:30 – Sign On
17:00 – Session Begins
20:00 – Session Ends
The session will be run as an open pit after an initial sighting lap. The session may be delayed slightly due to the reorganisation needed after the VW RWYB during the day. We have been promised 3hrs track time though.
I will provide Willie/Crail with a list of participant’s names/cars to make it easy for them to check you off when you pay the remaining £17.50 (£35 if you haven’t paid the deposit). You will then be given a wrist band, which will be checked before getting on track.
Have a look at this list. If I’ve missed anything, or simply got it wrong please let me know ASAP.

As you’ll notice there are a lot of fairly quick cars attending! Don’t let this put you off or intimidate you! The Crail track is quite short and twisty so favours smaller lighter cars.
Discount:
If you are participating in the 1/4mile during the day you will be eligible for a £5 discount off the final track price. Keep your 1/4mile band/number as proof.
Safety:
Helmets are compulsory for open top cars, and optional for the rest. If you have one, wear it! No helmets will be available for hire on the day. Bring your driving licence on the day. I’ve never had to produce it at Crail but better to cover it just incase they ask. They normally give the car a quick once over before allowing it on track, so make sure everything is secure/safe. Bring spare fuel if you can as it’s a pain heading away from the track to try and find a station!

Basically just start slow to find your own pace, and have fun!
