Thought it would be a 2 minute job to whip them out to pick up the wiring - Haa !!

Took the covers off - removed the 4 brassy screws - but couldn't remove the speakers..

Thought i'd take off the whole panel - no chance - guess i've gotta remove the back seat ??

Is nothing straight forward in a Supra ???

Yeah............. the back seats have 2 come out .......but its dead easy.......4 bolts
........then the side panels have to come off , all of them..... then the seatbelts have to be undone...
......... it sounds a PITA but it wasn't that bad.
6 1/2 '' Fit in the stock steel shrouds..... but theres enough room for 7x10's if ya adventurous and a bit creative ;-)

How adventurous & creative, Ash type or normal human type?

matt

Well.......... more adventurous than me ;-0
I decided on 6 1/2'' Infinity components in the stock location............... and a 10'' sub in the area behind the seat.......... ;-)
........But if ya want bass, but still wanna put stuff inthe boot (or the aerotop if ya got 1).....7x10's would need a bit of panel modification.. However 6x9's shouldn't be a problem at all....
There is quite a bit of room behind the panels.......u will see wot I mean when ya take one off....
I'm tempted to move the components up front and stick some 6x9's in........ but the front doors need more work than the back.........and I'm a lazy git .

Hey Dean
Wot did ya put in the back ??????

Nothing at all to get excited about :(

I've run the fund dry for this year, but wanted to try to get a bit of bass in the back.

I'd got a Pioneer active tune-up bass thingy - flat v.heavy lump thats been kicking around for a while - just thought i'd stick it in as a halfway house before doing something proper.

Makes a marginal difference...

Just finished making my MP3 collection by the way.

Copied 58 of my CD's on to 5

Now have 3.5gig of MP3's on my hard drive though - can't bear to delete them just in case...

No it does actually create a bass sound, its ported and stuff, so you can feel the air coming out of it when turned up.

I networked my house before i moved in (sad i know), and at work we are currently installing some 'innovation' houses where you have full control over your curtains switching on lights, security etc., and it also has the facility to control winamp from a Pronto TV controller, so in theory, you can get the audio from the PC back up additional CAT5's to your hifi, and from the comfort of your lounge chair, turn on the hi-fi then look at your pc on your TV to choose which MP3's you want to play.... - in theory :)

That sounds cool......... I 2 networked the house , but this is cos I'm a lazy git and forgetful 2 boot.... now I can surf, drag mp3s from the numerous systems etc plugged in2 the network at the side of the bed, or the comfy chair, ...............

.......... there , ya don't sound so sad now ^ ^

Ahh... it must be nice having the money.

I'm really glad i networked the house, it pacifies the wife greatly when i'm working on sites in the evening to be sitting in the lounge on the laptop rather than in the Study !!

I also run a web and email server on the main PC, so every Network point is ready for full mail and net access.

I havent attempted to use the laptop in bed yet - that may be pushing it a bit too far :)

So let me get this straight. You're ready to send email from the lounge to the bedroom, and from the kitchen to the dining room. Now I know this really nice psychotherapist I think I should introduce you to.

My wife thinks it's excellent that I can follow her into the kitchen with my laptop connected to my WaveLAN network so's I can show her the latest member's car piccy uploaded. Sure she does......

Oh yeah! I did use my laptop in bed and got lots of repeated grumbles until I gave up and switched it off.

A few points...

1. You have already posted about this in another thread...
2. This thread is VERY old
3. This thread has NOTHING to do with your question.

Someone already has mentioned some facts about it on a PREVIOUS thread...

http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showpost.php?p=1360159&postcount=2

And given the fact that you have posted it a total of 3 times and resurected 2 unrelated threads...

just remove the 4 bolts holding the speakers in, then prise them out, as they are held with a little 2sided tape.

Mine came out fine without removing any panels
