He's right. The GTO can do 60' in an nth of a second but then you'll take it as he'll have to wait for an AA/RAC to arrive.

I thought it was 1/4nth of a sec? I don't know much about them though. There was this one guy on here with one........:D

I have owned an N/A GTO, now have just this week bought an N/A Supra. Trust me your Supra will stuff it! The N/A GTO is not quick mainly because of the weight etc.

Now I've got a Supra I would never go back to GTO even the turbo! Supra is different class IMO

A mechanic once told me his mates GTO TT was way way faster than my supra in straight lines and corners because it had 300bhp or thereabouts... I kept quiet and said 'oh ok very good' not wanting to burst his bubble etc, until a friend I was with pointed out to him that mine was a TT with 320bhp sandard. :D His face dropped and he didn't say much else about the GTO.

And as already said, a supra will ALWAYS look better than a GTO

The GTO would be quicker and TBH if not for the unreliablity of the gearbox would be a better car ,the handling is great in the bends especially the MR version

WTF.

Have you ever raced a GTO on track or point to point on interesting roads?

The ones I've been up against have looked plain scary through the bends if giving it any kind of beans, given the choice of either for a cash bet I'd take the Supra, the GTO needs it's turbos to be even remotely competitive, even then it's not too amazing.

Anyone got car specs on the GTO NA version?

Like to see the comparison on paper.

I'm as lazy as you so I'm not going to Google either but it's something like 220bhp and 205lb/ft at the fly (no idea how much all that 4wd nonsense robs), 6G7 engine and 1400 > 1750kg.

hahah GTO is one car i cant stand!

I remember being 14 years old and arguing with a guy my uncle knew. he believed his GTO twin turbo did 0-60 in 3.5-4.0seconds and 200mph and that was standard! I used to tell him it didnt. I knew more than him! I even printed of the stats at school a week later and posted them through his letter box on my way home haha

After that when ever i saw him round my uncles he didnt speak to me i used to say hows the GTO :p hahah TWAT

GTO's look like they have been shunted in the behind. Ugly squat little things. Rubbish. Evo is the only good mitsi, look at the GT3000.... :sly:
