Disappointing holiday

Just got back from Centre Parcs Sherwood Forest and have to say that I was disappointed with the place. We weren't actually due back until tomorrow but neither me or Vicki could be bothered to stay another night. I have been to the ones in Elveden and Longleat and they were far better in my opinion.

Place was ok (not nearly as good as Elveden) but the villa we had was substandard IMO. Heating didnt work in the bedrooms and as a result they felt damp. Couldn't get hot water in bathroom despite it being available in kitchen and so used luke warm water in bath and brought hot water through from kitchen. Sheets were so old that they didn't stay on the bed due to all of the corners being ripped. All this and we had paid the bit extra for an executive villa.

Still managed to have a good time during the days with our little lad at least but will not go back there.

Hay ho at least I have tinternet again :)

Thats a disgrace and you should put your complaints in writing, I have stayed at all three and know how expensive they are and you would be very deserving of some form of compensation IMO :(

I've heard good things about Center Parcs, shame it wasn't up to scratch. You should definitely complain though, otherwise they won't know to change it.

I filled in the usual questionnaire and put all of my complaints in writing.

Think I will write a letter to them over the weekend as it isn't particularly cheap and I am a little hacked off.

Hay ho at least I managed to purchase an Abflug spoiler whilst away :)

we've been to two center parks in belgium and holland and I have to say they were excellent - we only got standard villas but I was really pleased none the less. I can highly recommend them.

we were actually thinking of going to one in England, I guess now we will avoid that one!

my folks went to the one in longleat weekend gone and they said it was terrible.

they had an 'executive' villa as well and like you they had virtually no hot water at all.

they couldn't find a questionnaire to even complain about it so they'll be writing to them instead.

When I lived in Nottingham I used to sneek into Centre Parks, use the pool and other facilities for the day FOC. I wouldn't pay to stay there :d

Yer they should definately send a letter and see what happens. There are always going to be occasions when things don't work properly etc, so its really how they deal with complaints etc which will help me decide whether or not to go again.

Like I said the other 2 I have been too were great so I will wait and see.
