View Full Version : Pin out of the stock Toyota stereo
Just swapped the stock unit, got the new one all fitted, and remembered that there's still a CD in the old one...
Just need to know L&E so i can eject it
Thanks
Dean..
that might explain where my Chemical Brothers CD went, I must have left it in my CD unit when I changed to the JVC.
Im sure if you went to a friendly stereo shop they would hook it up and eject the cd for you.

The head unit GND is pin 11 and B+ is pin 4 (blue wire with green stripe).

I'm not quite sure what this says about me, and I'm sure none of it's polite, but I'm trying to keep my MKIV TT looking basically stock while improving it's stopping, starting and turning underneath (how do you put a wolf in wolf's clothing?).
With this in mind, when I collected my TT the Toyota stereo had died overnight and they quicky fitted a double-DIN Kenwood system. I asked for and was given the standard unit for repair at my discretion.
As a new Toyota unit is about £1,100 I took my unit into Bill Allen (Toyota) in Gloucester who use a company who guarantee to fix any system, so long as you don't mind waiting. I'm expecting the quote for repair sometime this week and if it's too heavy, I'd like to do a deal with someone who's rushed to replace their stock Toyota unit.
Any takers if the repair bill is silly?
