MAP ECU / PHR FuelKit 1 on Stock Tubbies

As per other thread, ill be upgrading to the Streetkit but may change upgrade order....

Im currently running 1.2 bar on standard fueling (440 injectors) - if i purchase the PHR Fuel kit with the 720 injectors and a MAP ECU, is there a premade map for running with the stock turbos? I think i would prefer to sort out the fueling first after reading the long and informative post from last year.

Ill then upgrade the Turbo's to the Streetrace kit in a few months.

Quick answer appreciated - money burning hole and all that.

I dont think there is a premade map, however a tuner may have a base map which will need to be tweaked to your car.

I have an emanage (although on stock injectors) on stock tubbies and you get a little more power out of them by trimming the fuel down as the car over fuels slightly at higher revs.

if I were you I would contact Jarrett @ PHR as he's got loads and loads of fuel maps.I am sure he will provide you with a very decent base map.However fine tuning must be done ofcourse,no two Supras are the same.

Great, so its not a stupid idea to do it in this order then. Are there many people in the UK who can tune the MAP ECU?

Im a novice to this - i assumed (wrongly) you load up a Map and the software tweaks itself to the car, not the otherway around.

Paul Whiffin has done Map-ecu's so has Michel Lane.Both are members of this board.The fuel map is not self learning as such.It must be tweaked on RR by professionals.I did mine myself on normal roads with lap top on passenger seat .Not recommended tho but we have no tuners down here.Works fine for me.A bit rich on idle.

You can upgrade your Fuel System for future use of the Street Turbo Kit, and will need to purchase a MAP ECU if that is what you see fit in controlling your fuel. Keep in mind that we do offer a "PnP Harness" (Plug & Play) for your application. (J-Spec) Let us know if you have any further questions and we can get them answered for you in a speedy time frame!
