View Full Version : Street Kit on J-Spec
Hi Guys
Im running a j-Spec 93 TT auto and would like to go single. I always dreamed of the PHR 2+ when i had my VVTI 6speed, but this auto box wont take it.
Im not ready to go for a built autobox, so assume the Street Kit would be the best bet?. Im looking for an all in kit, no fabrication at all as i want to install myself.
If i purchase new injectors will the stock lines and the uprated Walbro be enough to power? Will the Emanage Blue/Ultimate be ok to control the fueling?
Looking to purchase ASAP to make good use of the exchange rate.
Regards
get the GT4088 thats the best street turbo:D
Hello Mate, I had the PHR Stage 1 kit mate, same turbo as the street kit but different manifold etc. This kit was excellent and looked great. I have now gone for the PHR Stage 2+, great thing about the stage 1 kit is that it provides everything you need for later upgrades. A stage 2 or 2+ can be bolted straight on.
What happened to your old stage one turbo Vaughany?
knackerd mate, the blades got bent

How miles had it done Vaughany?
Sir,
So glad that you are of interest in our kit. As you know we have been one of the best well known manufacturers on the market for Turbo Kits and Fuel Systems. The street kit is a great kit to start out with and still allow you to run stock fuel and stock auto box. If you do want to turn up the boost, then yes you would have to go with a Fuel System. Keep in mind that the Autobox is very week and would not stand to much strain that you are wanting to put on the transmission. Let us know if you are still of interest and we will get you squared away with a quote!
Cheers,
Joe

Hi Kev.O
The blades got bent through an accident and not through miles done mate, I would definitely recommend this turbo again. I have stuck with PHR as I think they are great kits, this time I have gone for the PHR Stage 2+.
Dont get the street kit, get the stage 1 as it gives you more room to manoveur at a later date. I had a standard auto box and was happily pushing 500bhp at 1.4 bar with no serious problems.
I new the box would go eventually but this was part and parcel and planned to get the box upgraded when it went.
Cheers
