Pioneer Carrozeria

I've just been to play with my new car at JIC, and the ICE install is pretty impressive, but all from the pioneer carrozeria line. Now from my research it seems this is a pretty much a Japan only system, but since I thought I saw a similar setup in a car at JAE and if anyone has any information on this it would be greatly appreciated.

From what i've seen this system can do really frightening things in japan, like full 3D maps, interactive tenant lists of buildings you happen to be passing, automatic avoidance of traffic jams, toll road avoidance etc. All based off of updatable DVD's.

Really nice stuff (of which the UK has only a minimal amount of the applicable infrastructure), but it's a good view of things to come. Since i'll probably have to change it, does anyone have a current sat nav system they have / like / recommend?

Actually I found a whole host of stuff for them, seems our friends in the US have a similar problem and theres been some serious efforts to adapt it.

So now I have the choice of US or JAP nav data ;)

The GPS array is the same as the UK system, so I might just have to replace it and be happy i'm saving a small amount of money on that.

I was trying to prompt people more into a conversion about replacements (as I didn't really have much hope for the current setup) but it's didn't seem to work ;)

I dont think there are too many Supra owners who use sat nav in their Supras. I know Leon has a nice install in his Land Rover thing, but I dont know anybody else who has put sat nav in a Supra.
