Just realised that its Japfest at Castle combe on May 19.
Not sure if this is a repost but is anyone from these parts giong? maybe a nice little convoy is in order?

definatley up for this mate!! Castle Combe has been my home for the last 40 years - old Supra owner!! but fit! Nice one.
Im going,already have tickets. Tacking my 8yr old son, is there stuff for him to do there do you know?

And me - will be 1st time too! I'll join the convoy on the way as I live closer to Castle Coombe than the WSM guys.
What route will you guys take? Through Bristol and onto the A420? Or will you be going longer way - up M5 across M4?

How does 9am at Morissons sound? To early, to late??
Not sure on which route is best, i only know the M5 M4 route and theres less chance of us getting split up, so i vote for that one, what do poeple think?

starter motor problems - hope to be there!!
If people meet at Gordano I can meet them there - I'll probab;y end up coming back the A420 way though - honest its easy as its 1 road that goes from Bristol all the way to the turnoff for castle combe just before getting to chippenham and get to tear up some of the streets in Brizzle! Even the famous ring road which is known for a good Hooning!!! :D

Yep, tickets are availible on the gate (£14).
So what time are us westoners meeting then? should we bother with the morissons meet at 9, or earlyer? or just meet at gordano at 8?.... what do you reckon?

um, not really sure about prices, just says £14 on gate!
again not sure about meeting times/places. waiting for peoples veiws....
8.45am at Gordano to leave at 9:00 - we would get there about 45 mins max getting us there at 9:45.
Would that be cool?

My car is no where near pretty enough to be given a stand pass, would you consider it to be safe to park in the standard car park?
Never been to JapFest so no idea if it is chav heaven or are there respectable people there too?

Not knowing how to send a general message (maybe someone can help) after being at CC for 40 years. Very dissapointed. Never had to queue before. The cars on display were nothing like the beauty's in the car park. Why didn't we have separate parking for certain types of cars and then everything else. Why was there only ONE person taking the money at Quarry. although Drifters were fantastic. No one turned up at Morrisons - was there for 20 mins. Don't think I'll bother next year - rather spend the money on the car!!.

Yeah, not sure quite what happened, I was over the other side of the track and some said that it flipped. I think it actually went up on two wheels, lost control and ended up facing the wrong way. Hopefully the driver was fine but I left fairly soon after so I'm not sure.
On the whole, the day was good, but not great. Saw 3 nice single tub Supes, Mr Lover who was busy chatting and a couple of others I'm not sure were part of the club. I was hoping to get some bargains at the trade stands but there wasn't much on show. Hopefully there'll be a bigger club presence next year (Hint, hint!!) as there was an abundance of Scoobies, Evo's, 200's and 300's - definitely needed more Supes :)
Did find a Envy leaflet under my wiper when I got back to the car, so I guess they were there - any chance of a stand next time?! ;)

Gutted i could not go, I have broken four of the five bones in my foot,and got a blood clot after the operation to put metal plates in. I cant walk on it for six weeks let alone drive the supra

Just back. had great day althou nothing happened of this convoy on way up. Now very sun burnt and very broke. I managed to spend £1200 on parts from the stalls but well worth it. Loads of supras about and the drift guys were good. Shame so many of you missed it.
Yeah come on - for £1200 quid worth you must have bought shed loads? tell!
Good day all in all - very sunburnt now though! but got loads of pics and movies, especially of the Driftworks team going sideways a plenty round the circuit! 1st event of the year for me and looking forward to plenty more :D

Ooooh wat did you buy?
Original Do-luck front bumper £442. Blitz dc2 gages x3 £252. TRD part carbon rear wing from Night racer and they are collecting my stadard bonnet next week and cutting TRD vents into it Total £500, 6x heavy duty jubili clips for boost pipes £30 plus 2 icecreams and a can ok coke £4 so total was actually £1228.
Am fed up with my fake bumper and bonnet they dont fit properly, i want it to be perfect. Now got to save up for new head lights and wheels then possible full respray.

I saw that happen - he basically got himself into a tank-slapper out of camp corner, broadsided the tyre wall and rolled it back the other way. Yes, he did go on his roof. Yes, he collapsed his c-pillar. Because of that, I believe it'll be a write off.
