Quick question on mileage - newbie

Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie and am about to buy my first Supra. My budgets low at about 4,000 but I'm only after an '94 N/A so I figure that shouldn't be a problem.

I've just one question (although plenty more to follow I'm sure...), I've seen what looks on paper and photos to be pretty much what I'm looking for, however the mileage is at 104,000 miles, is this good/bad/indifferent? Alot of the others I've seen for the same price range seem to have lower mileages (60k - ish).

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers everyone.

welcome aboard mate.

as far as mileages go 104k is probably higher than you'll see elsewhere as you've already said.

however, i wouldn't dismiss it straight away. As long as it's got a lot of history with it then i wouldn't have a problem with it, however if it has no history at all then think about walking away as you will get better in that area.

Also, i'd be tempted to take a look at the car in person. general condition of the car will tell you a lot about how it's been treated and whether a mileage etc is genuine (provided parts haven't been swapped out etc of course).

The higher mileage could also be a good bargaining tool to get it for less than the £4k?

good luck ;)
