Fiesta mkIII stinks of petrol inside car

What happens when yo remove the filler cap, do you get a loud wooshing noise?

Possibly there could be a filter leak as they are situated under the offside rear of the car on most models, but could be a leak anywhere along the pipework/engine bay..

Worth checking under the bonnet for any strong smells too..

its a 1.3 I think, its the fiances car, I will check the filler cap theory tomorrow once its light :) I think I did when I removed it yesterday, although I though it always built up a little pressure when shut
