View Full Version : ncb
how long can these last basically i got my 2 years ncb through the post and i renewed my insurance on my micra without using these ncb but i will use them next month now as my car wont be ready quick so how long can i have these without them being expired?
You lose a year for each year you don't use your NCB. So if you didn't use your 2 years NCB for 1 year it would drop down to one years NCB
cheers for that jake but would not using these two for one or two months effect losing them?
Doesn't matter.
Buying insurance a month at a time is an expensive way of doing it though.
i work in insurance and the general rule across the board is that ncb cannot be used if it is 2 years out of date.
I once had 3 years ncb, didn't need it for a year and then picked it up again a year later, still at 3 years worth :)

Yep, you retain it for 2 years (whatever it is) then lose the lot
