FREE ROLLING ROAD DAY
Austec Racing celebrate new rolling road

Austec premises in CrawleyAustec Racing is celebrating their newly upgraded lps 3000 4 wheel drive rolling road by holding a free rolling road day at their base in Crawley, west Sussex.

The TVR specialists are holding the event on Saturday 19th May 2007, and it will be open to all two and four wheel drive vehicles.

Its any car... all day 9am to whenever they finish, which is likely to be 9 or 10pm.

Normal price is £45.50+vat for a power run.

Yeah count me in to, does anyone know if there rollers are sunk into the floor..? As I have an issue with ground clearance :(

Zoos are open all the time...... plus they're not free!! They'll get over it :innocent:

Don't know but when I phoned them they thought they'd be going to 9 or 10 pm.

Well, i got there & there were a lot of TVR's and a couple of Porches..... and a chav Pug ;)

Waited about an hour then it was my turn.. and guess what? The dyno can't handle the auto, even in manual mode, O/D off etc. For some reason it has to start at 0 road speed and then floor it, so couldn't get into 3rd gear to start at 3000. It just maxed out in first and ended the test or got to third and then kicked down.

Oh well, was free anyway and sounded great :)

hmmm, that's not the dyno - thats the operator not knowing how to use it. Oh well - glad I didn't come along now!
