The Placebo Effect?

I wonder if anyone else suffers this?

My crank pulley was replaced this week with a nice brand new one. Since then my car just feels "better".

Is it as a result of replacing my crank pulley which had been knackered for some considerable time or;

The placebo effect?

placebo can be very powerful.

The world of HiFi is full of such expensive placebo improvements.

People have beaten cancer and tumors with faith alone, so don't knock placebo as 'clap-trap'. If the subconscious can be so powerful over the body, why couldn't the belief of an improvement feel real?

Isn't the sense of speed and acceleration really all in the mind? We hype ourselves up and then deflate again.

Doesn't the car feel faster after a thorough spanking-clean wash?

Be honest now...:eyebrows: :D
