Anyone tried one of these out ? ^Seems pretty good, 3000 tracks on the supplied drive. ^Dash mounted remote contro. ^Also has an FM modulator so you don't need to wire it it, just tune in your radio to it.

Apparently they retailed at 500, but the distributer has gone down and they are now being shifted at 200 quid.

I went even cheaper - bought one of those Creative Labs Jukebox things (would have had an iPod if I'd known about it earlier!) and just bought a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable and hooked it up to the Line In on the stereo I bought.

Now I've got 6GB of MP3s, and I can hide the Jukebox in the glove compartment when parking up.

I've been looking at the MStation for a while, i saw the same add as you in MicroMart which got me interested again.

In the latest Car Audio magazine they reveiwed and said...

"There were two things about the mStation that suprised us. The first was just how well the whole system has been thought out - its fantastic to use, and having an enormous variety of music at the touch of a button changes the whole driving experience. For what it can do its a bit of a bargain (£550)"

There's a lot of waffle about how you use explorer to drop files into it. I also read another bit that said it has RCA's for better quality input.

I used to have an FM Modulator CD, never had any problems with sound quality.

If the Lexus didn't have a 12disc CD changer i would definately buy one, though i'm still very tempted at £199...

Also noticed that the £199 is MK1 version...

Dont know if there was a big difference between Mk1 & 2

Dean, hadn't looked into it that much.  On Car Audio Direct's website it says "New Mk2 Version Now Features Improved Controls & Docking Station, Plus Backlit Display"  If that's all the differences, I think I'd keep my 300 quid and get the Mk 1.

Comparing the two pictures, the HD case looks different but the remote usints look the same, and these are the bits you'll see.  Confused!!

Dean, you mean you've now got slocks going round left handers so obviously need full concentration and no musical distractions ;)
