b.weeks
Hi all, Has anyone bought a mount (for example, from http://www.manfrotto.com) for drag/track days? Where did you mount it to? Cheers, Ben.
Shovels
I borrowed a mates Manfrotto suction mount for the pod, stuck it to the rear window facing forwards and just put the passenger seat right back. Got some pretty good footage.

AJI
bullet cams are really useful.... they can slide between your pull-down sunvisor and the roof to give a 'down-the-bonnet-to-road' shot of the view ahead.
Green Peace
Simon B's got a really good bulletcam. I have found this website...they specialise in bulletcams and mounts for motorsport, though i have no idea how good they are! http://www.motorsportcameras.co.uk/index.php?cPath=24 and for mounting a small to medium sized camcorder theres these folk (who I have bought from) Bare in mind that suction mounts have to be bedded in a few times before use, the more you use them the easier they grip. http://www.b-hague.co.uk/camera%20supports%20systems.htm And if you dont want to buy them they can be hired from: http://vmi.co.uk/equipment/product-list/?catid=9 Hope this helps, hopefully some more people will be along with other pointers too... \si
SimonB
The place I got my bullet cam from is http://www.rfconcepts.co.uk. You need to check your camcorder has a video input and then find somewhere secure to put the actual camera in the car. The other mount I have is a superclamp from b-hague - the link's in the above post. That goes onto my harness bar between the seats.
b.weeks
I have an in-car PC - like the idea of a bullet-web-cam if such a thing exists? (My video camera doesn't have an audio in).
