how do you keep it up?

Well - how do you? :D

No seriously, how do you keep your exhaust from scraping the floor? My Nur Spec scrapes a little more than the old exhaust, I'm not sure if this is because the old one had worn flatter in places.

I have put new rubbers at the end by the back box which has pulled the exhaust right up and another between the cat and back box. I bought these rubbers from Halfords, does anyone use anything else that is good?

I took my bungs off, pulld my exhuast up tight to my car and use cable ties, sounds a bodge but its solid and doesnt move and now is no longer an issue:)

Or see if you can get smaller bungs?

Sorry got to say it, viagra?:D

I've got the smallest bungs/rubbers Halfords do but the middle bung thing could go tighter - I didn't think of using cable ties to get the exhaust tighter to the body, i will give that a go later

will cable ties not just get very, very hot and possibly melt?

i've burnt my hand a bit on my exhaust after a run right at the back so it must be damn hot a few feet further forward at full chat i'd have thought.

On the Nur Spec there is a very long arm that you put the rubbers on which brings it away from the heat. I'd use the cable ties to pull the exhaust up and hold it in place while I put stronger rubbers on it

I wrapped mine around the actual mounts so it never gets close to the exhuast, it never seems to get that hot, sits close to the bumper so iv always go an eye on it, not had any probs so far:)

I had the stock hanger on the car removed and fabricated a new one to raise the exhaust. It actually got raised to the point where it touched the rear bumper. Then I just placed a rubber bushing/washer between the piping and the car just where it touched close to the rear axel. Works perfectly.

Had to do this cause I live at a f%&ing building site with all kind of bumps and edges

Dragonlady's does exactly the same - they're off to Weston Performance to have theirs sorted out - drop her (or Paul Weston) a line to see what the fix involves.

Glad to hear other people have the same problem. It maybe impressive to the drivers behind seeing the exciting light show coming from under my car as my exhausts sparks just driving on normal roads around lincoln, but not to me.

As Ellis mentioned we are hoping to take the car to Weston to get it sorted, but this is likely to be after Dragonball.
