I had exactly the same problem with mine and it is as stated the pipe has been disconnected. It just needs the pipe located and refitted mine was hiding on the right side of the drivers footwell behind the panel.

It is a bloody good gauge and worth sorting. I looked at replacing it but glad i sorted it.

Did that mate but when you turn the box off the needle goes right round to the end and sits there. Have had look for a pipe but cant find one. Looks like the dash will have to come out to see what is on the back on the dial.

It looks like it has memory/peak hold functions which would suggest to me that it is an electronic boost gauge. That would explain your inability to find a vac hose - it will not have one - rather a wire leading to a pressure sensor. This will probably be a (mainly) rectangular shaped black plastic sealed box in the engine bay - it will need to be plumbed in via a vac hose at some point - probably somewhere near the stock pressure sensor?

Yep you are right. Found the pressure sensor and leading of that was the vac hose going to a T peace witch is all connected. Traced the electrics from the other side of the sensor to a white plug and again connected so still in the dark on this one really. :(
