fitting handbrake cover

ive got an isotta handbrake cover and gaitor.. just wandering whats the easiest way to fit this? do i need to cut off the existing rubber handle?

Maz - my momo slipped striaght over the existing rubber. Give it a go, if not get the stanly blade out :eyebrows:

 

all good ill give that a go tonight. also how did you go about the leather covering? did you remove the rubber surround or just squeeze it through the gap?
