Golddigga
All, Just a quick question. Are the surrounds on the dash clocks i.e rev counter etc attached to the black panel that they sit in or are they removable seperately? Thanks.

bodilx6
I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but the dash consist of three different parts (four depending of how you count) and all clocks and dials are removeable from the dash itself. The instrument cluster (speedo, rev, water temp and so) are a single cluster but they are removable from the three main dash plates. To remove all this, you need to take the plate surrounding the gear lever off first. Get the ashtray out, pull the gear lever surrounds off and also get the odo cluster off by removing the 5 screws at the top. From there on is just a matter of removing the three parts. I'm sure there is a good guide for this on mkiv.com. Just remember to NOT turn the ignition on while have the dash off. You WILL have trouble with your airbag light afterwards.
