Traffic light camera ???

Does anyone know if a traffic light camera flashes you like a Gatso if you trigger it.I went through a traffic light on a VERY late amber trying to keep up with a friend in front as I was following him in an unknow area to myself.
I saw the camera in my rear view (too late by then) but pretty sure it didnt flash. I has flashed a few speed cameras and you definatley know you have been flashed by them.

Any experiences.

No it wont flash, I've done that in same cases in the past :) It's just if you get cought at the time.

It is very hard to see a traffic light camera flash as the flash is not as strong as the speed ones, I was waiting a few months back at a set of traffic lights and 2 carsskipped the lights and it really is a pathetic flash and this was at night time, so if during the day you have no chance of seeing it. Plus the flashes are closer together.

Anyone know how late you have to be to get caught. I was going on a late amberso crossed the line on amber but saw the red when I was about half way accross

Even if there was a camera, I wouldn't expect that you have done anything wrong. The light was not actually red when you went through.

I'd think if there are cameras at each light then they would set them to flash/catch people once its gone red completely, so I think you ll be ok mate.

Last I heard it was 1 sec after red, but don't know if that's changed or was every true.

Some of the newer ones are speed and red ATS so theoretically you could get 6 points and a bigger fine.
