part_timer Posted April 20, 2007 Share Posted April 20, 2007 I had my brakes replaced last year and they have just started squeaking. not too much just every now and then. I had them apart myself prior to them being replaced and there were two metal plates on top of the pads, looked them up and they are anti-rattle shims. The machanic hasnt replaced these along with the pads so i was wondering if that was what is causing the squeaking? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Pete Posted April 20, 2007 Share Posted April 20, 2007 CW left mine out as he says he founds on his Supra it helped give a more positive feel to the pedal.
