Wez
Hey All, I urgently need a gasket, I thought I had managed to source one yesterday but its too small. Anyone know where I can get one of these at very short notice, ie today In the pic the first one is the gasket I blew, the second is the replacement I was sent and the third is the a template that I made yesterday. http://www.blctechnology.com/wespage/pics/gasket/Reszied001.JPG
bromy
Try ats or kwik fit, they normally have a selection that might do the job
JustGav
Rough size? Because that looks very similar in shape and size to the gasket sets for the A-series engines...And I've got a whole stack of a-series gaskets you could try..
JustGav
Any chance you can take a pic next to a ruler and I will check the ones I have..

Wez
Thanks for checking. Will try my luck at various auto places this afternoon
JustGav
Still welcome to try them if you want, might be a little tight, but could get you by till you get the right one. The other choice is get some gasket material and cut your own to suit.
b_have
Or use the template.
Wez
Or use the template. Funny you should say that I made two templates and tried one last night, managed 3 pulls on it before it blew and burnt away
JustGav
Hmmm, this is an exhaust side then I'm guessing...wastegate? In which case you will need a metal gasket...

Kranz
Nip down to your local Quick Fit. They have loads of ex gaskets and may even give you one free. Or make one out of copper. That'll stand the heat.
SBDJ
I've got some exhaust gasket material in the garage at home - whereabouts in Berks are you? Edit: Scrap that, just read it's for the wastegate and you want a metal one Supposed to be good to some stupidly high temperature the stuff I have, let me know if you're desperate enough to try it...
