As posted on the Pod thread:

Hi all.

I know a little bit about drag racing ;) and have a product that can help those who want to have an edge over others.

We sell a drag-specific product which increases traction by softening your tyres. Its called GRIP.

You spray/paint it onto your tread ( it can be used on any tyre ) and it soaks in to soften the rubber.

Its in stock and costs £20 delivered to your door and will do around 40 tyres. It doesnt go off so you can coat your tyres and use it again later on.

Best thing about it is that you cant see it on the tyres and no one knows you have applied it.

To buy a can, contact me and I will get it sent out tomm.

Cheers

No this:

Some of the other makes are full of nasty chemicals that have a habit of killing people, I think this one is quite friendly.

I presume Sumo are doing the 1L - in which case the price is fair enough. You have to leave it a couple of days to do it's thing though so I wouldn't imagine it would be any use for the Pod day now.

I used similar stuff on Kart tyres many (many) years ago, it seemed to work.

Andy, do you have to do this with your product ?

I suspect that most people will be driving the car to the POD so, I'd take a guess that most of it would wear off on the way ?

The product is supposed to be applied way in advance of using it, best is a least a week according to the manufacturer. It soaks into the tyres and the longer you leave it, the deeper it gets and more effective it is, to a point.

Its ideal for anyone wishing to run at Pod etc this year, it wouldnt of hurt to put it on this weekend if you had some in advance, I didnt pick up on the drag date/event until late or I could have suggested it earlier.

It wont wear off on the road as it soaks in.

Thorin, any questions, you can ask me no probs, sorry for jumping on your web search but it gets frustrating sometimes when you offer something and instantly people assume you are ripping them off and go elsewhere to look for it and other places to buy it ^^^^^

Its in stock, we use it, there is instructions of how to use it which any supplier could tell you but, we use it and found the best way to use it, and such advice we would dispense to someone who purchased it from us. :)

Cheers

Not back to back results as we simply couldnt set our car up that it would show the .0+ seconds 60ft time that we could say 'thats working'.

However it is used by more traditional drag racers such as pro Mod and Funnycar etc and they can do this kind of repeative runs - and they use it ;) although most wouldnt admit it.

When applied you can see and feel the difference in the rubber 111110000%.

Buy some and see ;)
