I have recently put a new amp (Pheonix Gold Ti600.2) on my two subs (88120DVC Eclipse Aluminum Series). Due to the power of the amp, I have encountered many rattles in my car. Mainly in the doors and the hatch/boot area. I was wondering if anyone has used dynamat or some product comparable. If so i'd like some input on what is the best type of product along this line and any suggestions on where the best spots to dynamat the Supra. Plus I have noticed that the stock spoiler on the back causes some of the noise. I really have no clue on how to stop that, other than taking it off, and well thats not an option for me at this point. Any help in this area would be most appreciated. Thanks,
~Chad

I have used dynamat in my car, and also a product called 'Brown Bread' which is the same sort of stuff, but is generally less expensive. I completely stripped out my boot, backseats, rear quarter panels, and doors and then proceeded to cover everything with the sound deadening products. It helped a lot, but the rear hatch is still prone to vibrate a tad, and the roof vibrates also. Not sure how to stop the boot problem, as i guess it is literally trying to open up under the pressure of the sub (I only use one 12" celestion). The roof however, just needs the roof lining removing and dynamat applying.
I just don't have the time to do it at the moment...infact i haven't even finished off my instal properly...lots of MDF showing still :(
