Steve
I know in the warmer weather boost levels normally drop a little. But how much do people roughly increase there set and gain to on the boost controller to get back to there original boost level? Thanks
wkdtime
Unless your I/C is in tip top form i would'nt try and make up for the lost boost.

It's just with the hotter temps, it's not really a good idea to bump up the boost, more chance of det.
Steve
It has been mapped to cope upto 1.35bar with no det. Although i dont hit that unless its really cold. Its just doesnt seem as agressive and only hits 1.12bar. So was gonna tweek the controller to get it back to how it should be.
wkdtime
Ahh okie, I wouldn't bother with the gain on a single, what EBC do you have?
Steve
Ahh okie, I wouldn't bother with the gain on a single, what EBC do you have? Its not a single, its still the twins running in paralell. I wanted a safety margin in case it does overboost. Think it now overfuels if i ever get that high to protect the engine a little. Cant remember what Ian put in there now. I have a Profec E01 controller the is set to 36 and the set bit is on 48.
wkdtime
Smarty you are aware that in TTC mode there is a slight lean spot at 3.5k, which is why like Nic you need to have a piggyback to take care of the lean spot. Take it easy when increasing the boost. Have you got the stock ceramics? or Uk tubbies, 1.35 is way out of the J spec efficiency range and at that boost with the hot temps your really asking for trouble:(
Steve
Yeah i know about the lean spot hense why Ian added loads of fuel in that area. Still the ceramics i am afraid till the single comes along Will just have a play with it and see what happens
