i'm trying to refit my gauges and guage holder ... an so far have lost two screws. I saw them fall to the floor, yet when I went to retrive them .. they'd gone ! How the heck can two screws go missing from the drivers footwell !

Screws are one of the worst of inanimate objects, they are bastards when falling on the floor and can somewhow get into a seemingly impossible place when you look for them.
They are only superceded by cables, specifically with din connectors on that refuse to be removed without attaching themselves to every sodding thing along the way.

Other than that, my day's been OK *touches wood* (ooh-err).

got home around 4am& then got up about 2hours ago to be told that some re tards have stolen the rear wheels of my beast aka the fiesta

surely i woulda thought that for the amount of time it took to un-seize the rear wheels it wouldve been just as quick to STEAL the whole car  so now its just left on 1 brick on a angle its still taxed & MOT'd & insured so im tempted to just leave it where it is... can i get away with it like that or will i have to move it as the 5.0 might tow it away?

I have come to the conclusion, that as they fall they reach a critical mass / speed and jump to lightspeed and end up in moss eisley.

oh, i have a good one here. This morning i got a letter from the DVLA saying that my late fathers car that i had scrapped in January, they have no record of that taking place or any information even though the relevant forms were sent off. Now i have to prove this happened, and you can't even talk to them on the phone.

this could be a fun time :| no idea how to prove it if i don't have relevant forms anymore.

Ask them to prove that it *hasn't* been scrapped - that should be even harder.

I'm supposed to be working but since no-one else is in I planned on bringing my bike in and getting out for a ride around in the sunshine - so far it's still bloody cold and foggy (where's the 21degreees promised??) :(

i know the muppets think about the time it took to remove the wheels jack it, up place bricks under it, drop it & get jack back, load wheels drive away  if it was me i just woulda stole the whole thing!!

it happend around 4am to 6am id say as i was home in 4am & car was fine i aint going to bother putting wheels back on i will just drive it over the road & leave it to get burnt out or stripped

Well today really was a bad day for me cause i had my tyre blow-out on the drivers side while i was on the Dual carridge way today at 80 leptons and the car went nose first for the barrier but somehow i managed to hit the accelerator and pull her to the left and onto the grassy banking which was flat.

I Guess i was lucky to gain control so it aint all that bad but i cut across the path of a ford transit which was four car lengths behind me, which made him shi% his pants as the supe whipped around i could have waved to him at that point but my hands were glued to the steering wheel.

Pics to follow of my Tyre after a quick change of underwear. Glad to still be an active member ;)

Ruddy 'ell mate. I'd say you were very lucky.... and quite skilful to hold it on a tyre blow out :Pling:
