JustGav
Yes this has been done before. If you have a search you should find some data. You would need flywheel and clutch as well, ecu and loom is a must, however the rest of it should be fine.

SupraPL
Hello guys. How much (estimated) cost good quality N/A-T kit FITTED? My goal is only 400+ BHP (1.1 - 1.2 bar) at flywheel. Regards Tomasz
hoff
Sorry another Whats the differance in insurance like and do the DVLA charge much for the change of detail? I assume the DVLA need to be informed.
CarlT67
Also what do insurance companies think of this conversion, do they see the car much like a TT Supra or an N/A with drastic engine modification...? Would also be interested with the cost and difficulty to install, would i be right in thinking it would be best to find a donor car? Edit: Hoff beat me to it
hoff
As far as costs, Turbofit a good price I think. About 2-3 grand. They have done quite a lot on here, NA-T and TT engine transplants.

Only £2-3k? No way, too cheap for proper kit and labour.
iain2010
My NA to TT was great fun with the 5 speed box. Definatly need an uprated clutch though!

hoff
Just had a quick search, I am thinking of doin the conversion somewhere down the line. The NA-T route seems to be about £4.5k all in but can be a bit cheaper. Couldnt find anything for a transplant but its in the same ball park I imagine. Best is to contact Turbofit. hoff
Thats what we needed, someone whos done it. Been very tempted since the Dyno Day at Thor, though she had a good service which seems to have brought the power back up somewhere closer to what it should be:) Think mainly tho cause it must be much lighter after swapping the stock front bumper to Bomex, a hell of a lot less bolts needed lol.
