ads274
I've taken the supe out 3 times today (don't ya just love days off!) and i seem to be getting a sort of grinding/clicking noise. I think it's coming from rear drivers side (haven't been able to put someone in the passenger seat and let them check that side). The strange thing is it didnt start happening until about 30 mins into each journey. It happens at precisely 1500rpm and stops at 1600rpm under accelaration and in all gears (it's an auto). Any ideas? The only thing i can think of is resonance at that particular rpm but then it should happen as soon as i set off. I'm stuck, please help! ads274
Another thing which might be important is that it doesn't happen when in neutral.
ads274
250 views and no replies! That must be a record. Does that mean this is very unusual? Anybody?
Homer
So it happens at the same rpm, in every gear? Odd. If so its got to be something engine related (i.e. not Gearbox, brakes, prop, etc). Resonance on a loose bolt or baffle is the most likely cause, but it'd need closer inspection.
ads274
Thanks. Well it happens in first and second certainly. Couldnt really hear in third because of wind noise. Its very strange.
