Blitz MD Electrical Boost Gauge Problem

Right it was ok yesterday, today start the car and the gauge lights up as normal but the needle goes round to 1.6 bar and stays there. I take it out for a drive no different, now I fitted a boost controller last week and they were both working fine together so I assume that this has nothing to do with it or does it?

I took the vacuum feed for the boost controller from the same place as the boost gauge using a 'y' connector, the boost controller still reads the boost and all seems fine. :search:

I have disconnected the gauge completely for 1/2 hour and reconnected and it is no different.

On a side note does anyone have any english instructions for one of these as all I have is japanese.

Any ideas welcomed :)

I converted the instructions from Jap to English and there was a version floating around here. I did a quick search and couldn't locate it.

In principle Gary but your set-up sounds fine mate. I'm not familiar with that type of gauge but that sounds to be the problem in this case.

Do you know what your input voltage is to the gauge and where you are taking your power source from?

EDIT: The guage unit could be fine but you may also want to check the 2 wires that connect the gauge to the boost sender unit that should be located under the bonnet i.e. the sensor where your boost pipe is attached too. One of the wires could be loose and if that's the case then the gauge will not be able to check the signal from the sender

I think if you hold down the buttons it resets it. Worth a try?
Can't remember which button, or if it's both.
