3rd Brake light and spoiler issues

Hi, probably a couple of dumb questions, but can anyone help;

1) My third brake light doesn't work but how do you get access to it so I can try and fix it before my mot next week?

2) I have a standard front bumper but I would like to place a lip spoiler on it, would it interfere with the automatic front spoiler?

If so it's probably a dummy unit and won't have LEDs in it - if not remove the plastic trim on the rear hatch (it just pulls off). This will reveal the 2 nuts you need to remove from the long threaded fixing, doing so will allow the spring clips to come off so you can pull the light unit out from the outside. It's plugged in on a connector block.

FYI it doesn't need to be working for the MOT.

Most aftermarket ones will get in the way of the standard spoiler when it does it's thing - it's generally a choice between a lip or an active spoiler.
