As it say's We are having a dyno day for you guys if we can get 20 cars we will do each run for £20 including a print out !
The day will be taking place on the 5th MAY at 10am
There will be a burger van on site and after we want to take a spin to the sea front and take some photo's
We are gonna be Meeting at the 10 am on the 5th MAY at the workshop and then going for a 10 minute drive to the dyno shop
This will be a joint day with the 300zx.co.uk club so please post your names if your interested.

you musta seen the beast in front of mine? (the 1.1 fiesta) i got a drop down kerb so i can just reverse all the way back... was that you then who beeped out a couple times this afternoon? you should have stopped in man if cars there kettles always on :)

well ive never been in any type of club before & im still new here & finding out whats what & whos who so you will have to excuse the n00b questions :lol: also never owned anything this high performance or such high maintenance apart from the ex Mrs >_<
im getting there though picking up a few things & terminology as well :)
paul the car drives like silk no on the rear i dont feel all the bumps or pot holes in the road no more just need the fronts to be raised then thats it im all ready for the day then & also need to get some exhaust parts & filter sparks & leads but i dont think i will have the money in time to get any of that done :(

Dont need leads if your a TT. Decent plugs are about £6 each. But need to check your coil pack connectors at the same time too.
I drove past about 9.30 am. So may of woken you but i take you up on that cup of tea if i pass at a reasonable hour. Whats your door number or shall i just set the alarm off on the supe :p

oh that was YOU! :lol: i was like wtf was that all noise??? i thought it was the muppet in his 06 plate cararea (spelling) who fish tailed it into the kerb the other day outside my house trying to show off with his 0% skill of handling that much power :lol:
6 is the number btw & im not that lucky to be running a T or TT im just a humble N/A so im just trying to keep it simple with the limited knowledge of what i know & budget :( but i will use that advice cheers :)
things arent looking to good atm so i could just be arriving standard as you like.. with the exception of head unit if my old one still works that is my old pioneer DEH P8400MP after it was in a bad RTA in my old mondeo ST 24

what do you think the chances are of that radio still working? i know the rest of 3k ICE was DOA as the engine block was split & the all the electrics were fried & the ICE went straight in the bin but i had a insurance on it all

I dont think theres much tuning to be done to a NA as i often wanted to.
If its speed i got told its best to uprate your brakes and suspension so u can corner faster.
Apart from that im out, i asked about a ecu remap and aparently it wont do alot.
New cams? Im worried about my bhp figures now!! Il give paul £10 to add an extra 50bhp:d

i have N/A as well & the advice i have been given from various members & the guys at SWZ is this
full de cat exhaust system with as much back pressure in the back box should give you a +8 to +11 BHP gain
panel air filter k&n piper cross etc etc as a induction kit is a waste of time as it just sucks up HOT air where as the panel filter will suck up the nice cold air... again mixed BHP gains
spark plugs & leads might improve it over all but not 100% sure on the BHP gain
apart from spending MEGA BUCKS on a n/a you wont gain any great power but if your like me & phil & some of the other n/a owners who are just looking for a slightly more snappier response then those mods are cheap & effective

but i wasn't happy though & i regret having it done as my poor cars not happy at all its missing & spluttering now :angry: as they really screwed my car & everybody else to hard on the road took mine into the 7k rpm area...
also they didn't really know what they were doing with the automatics as they had to get the manual's out & the bhp reading were all over the shop

& that as well :lol: after telling the dude 4 or 5 times & Paul (from SWZ telling him as well) they still managed to scrape the front nose cone! by putting it down into pot holes then up a kerb ffs :banghead: i found a split under the headlight a min ago where the muppet hit the car not happy at all
needless to say i wont be having another RR done or going back to that place...

i got 247bhp from my n/a, i must admitt i expected more with all the stuff i had done to it, scotthks got 260 odd out of his n/a, they did it twice and it came up the same. to rollin thunder, this is why i told them i was backing my own car out TRUST NO ONE
And theres no way scotthks is pushing 260 bhp :lol:

Very long day that was the guys did not have a clue when it came to automatics as most of the supras where autos
I nearly pulled out and wish i did as acording to them my twin turbo is pushing out 396 bhp on standard twins ? so waste of time as i still dont know :rolleyes: maybe paul should have checked if they were capable
Anyway not a total waste met a good few supe owners
it was nice meeting everyone though, met a few nice people

I had a good day. I got 367 bhp with 328 torque and my turbos didnt blow which i half expected them too. Bit of a problem with my FCD only fitted it that morning to find out it was faulty. Have spoke to supplier thou and new one should be here soon so i hope to be pushing 400 bhp very soon. Anyone recomend a good tuner not to far from Bristol area, Want to get it all set up right for Jap fest. And nothing against JT hes a great bloke and knows his stuff but not interblow, somewhere else.

and last of all i apologise for the lack of proffesionalism throughout the day in regards to the automatics.
I was told it wasnt going to be a problem and they would be fine but as we all know the bhp figures and the way the cars were run was incorrect and false. I even had to stop them testing one of the cars due to the engine revs and tone.
It was a good day and it was nice to meet greet and catch up. We didnt leave til late and apologise once again for having to leave and not follow on into weston.
Thank you also to JODY to helping out and explaining to the owners of the rolling road how it worked LOL

just looked again my dnyo read out & they pushed it into 7000 rpm :wtf: why so high? they also held most of the cars in that high of rpm range for a long time i thought
i think that most of us autos were just test subjects for them as they really were clueless

hey everyone had a wicked day,dyno was a bit messed up,not pushing out 273bhp lol,the guy told me it was around 250 as the bhp at the flywheel and at the wheel were correct but the total overall of 273 was false,im happy with 250!
no its not! theres a blue face lift supra in nailsea,5 speed manual n/a it has a full stainless and that ran 251bhp,there was a uk spec TT behind me and he said i was quick,it aint 273 tho around 250,i know its delimited which gives an extra 850 rpm extra as my rev limiter is at 7320! i also think the cams r uprated,it has a full stainless but still has cats,apparently they run beta with them on

Something seems wrong there mate. I'd have thought an Aristo TT should be 300-320 at fly and 250-260 ish at the wheels (20% loss). Assuming the Aristo runs the same boost levels as the Supra.
Doesn't seem that the Dyno was too accurate from reading all the posts
tbh they were pretty clueless when it came to the auto's as they have only had the rolling road 6 weeks and were not sure how to work it.
This information was not told to me until the day !

Thanks Paul, It was a good day but i was suprised when the boys started reading the Manuals! they even asked me to do it for them.. Obvioulsy i said no.... I just couldnt risk a car blowing up in someone elses garage with me on the throttle, as im sure you can understand..
Gambies car was the first Auto on and after i showed them manual mode it made about 460BHP on .8 Bar! I dont think so!
I was suprised that the cars wernt strapped properly, that they had no exhaust probe in checking fueling, and that the bonnets wernt up to help engine cooling.. To be honest they wernt proffesional, and if i had my VVTI engine in, i wouldnt have let then touch mine, but thats not a reflection on you Paul, It was a good day and you organised your end properly.. :thumbs:
My car ran 222bhp with loads of mods, My little bros NA, Standard bar an HKS exhaust did 223.5bhp WTF!
The Facelift in Nailsea didnt run, It wasnt there, It did 251 on our dyno last year, Its the fastest NA ive seen! and would Whoop all of our NA asses that were there..
Loads of the Auto boys were doing 270bhp! Though i guarantee im faster on a 'Private Track' with 222!
Im gonna dyno, mine, Adam Ts and Mark Ts when im back from holiday...... Ill report back... :)

i got 247bhp (this is under what i estimated) with lightened pulleys, hks induction kit, full ss 3" exhaust with cat by pass and hks iridium plugs, i think thats under really but jody told me they dont make any difference, im not so sure. i am super chipping and mapping mine and will see what it does on my local rollin road :)
ALSO it depends on what you start with, if a cars been looked after from the start it will obviously have more bhp, like scotthks's
I heard the HKS induction kits were pants? I had one and took it off!
I also heard a remap wont really do alot as i posted up about it? Could be wrong though
maybe, maybe not. i think everyone has there own oppinions about stuff like that, i personally could see how it works as there is a bit more effort goes in to designing them than say k & n BUT not as much effort as toyota would of put in. the stuff i stuck on must of made some difference, we have a hill down here called mullacott hill, this is a " what can you get up mullacott" thing, it has seemed to get better with everything i put on

sorry to jump in and minorly abuse but looking at the picture posted up by rolling thunder earlier you showed me your front bumper first thing in the morning and pointed out that crack way before tsr tapped it on the floor, i wouldn't have said it was any different to then.
sorry but i would say you can't really blame them (if they had damaged it then i doubt they would have told you they hit it at all)
PS. no i don't work for tsr lol and i do appologise for sounding harsh
