Bobbeh Posted April 4, 2007 Share Posted April 4, 2007 I doubt you'll notice a great deal of difference tbh... but it'll help make your speedo more accurate fitting wheels/tyres that dont reduce/increase the rolling radius of the wheel a great deal. If your speedo is like most of us it's already about 10% over anyway. Upping the size would go partway to compensating. Going from /35 to /40 will up your speedo by 4.2% taking out some of the error... I'd just prefer to keep it as close to stock as possible... only 1.2% difference with 285/30 on 18s according to your link, where as 275/40s on 18s give a 6.5% difference.
