Tried taxing last night and the website didn't respond.
Tried again tonight, same thing. Hmm...

Use IE. Straight in no probs.

Thought I'd share in case anyone else sees similar.

If you do use firefox, there is a nice little plug in called IETab which allows you to run IE inside firefox for those sites that may not work...

Yeah, I have to use because our intranet is all IE based, and some sites like BBC don't work too well under firefox..

Yes it is.

Pete - Serious Question. Why are you using Firefox over IE7? Specific stuff now not the Usual IE is unsecure!

Firefox is extendable...

Extensions such as Adblock plus, proxyswitcher, IEtab and few others just make life easier....

Neat but I'd imagine you'd need IE installed in the first place for that to work :)

If you are running windows then 1-100 you will have IE installed... removing IE from windows is a difficult task and VERY few people will go through the effort...

My son is a computer techie guy and as I have never had a problem running anything from firefox he has probably done that already. Got car taxed anyway

Even if its been disabled by "Default programs" the DLL's are still present and accept calls.

For my job it meets standards better (especially CSS) and as mentioned it has some nice extensions. Spell checker being the obvious one. There's also a terribly useful web developer tool bar (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/60), Firebug (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1843)for debugging, FireFTP (http://fireftp.mozdev.org/), Forecast Fox (http://forecastfox.mozdev.org/)for weather plus lots of other cool stuff.

FcukFox worked fine for me when I bought my tax today too :) - The extensions are the decider for me over IE7, I'm also a fan of the password manager :)

At about 10-11am today I couldn't tax mine as their site said they had issues (Came up with a note to say to phone, or go into the Post Office)... So you may have hit that...

Sorry, I just remembered that, Footy on the mind and all that...

I could not access the link to the online portal using Vista, been trying for two days thinking that the site was down. Booted up in XP and it worked straight away.

Anyone else have problems with this link using Vista ?

Well I'm running Vista too. That link just says "waiting..." and times out if FF, but works fine in IE7

I've got the landlord of your local (Roger) coming to see me tomorrow. I think he's fried his PC now. It won't turn on, went very hot and smells funny.
