Elmo
Anyone know what the difference is between a NUR Spec R and NUR Spec S? Cheers.
merckx
The "R" replaces the full exhaust The "S" replaces the back box. http://www.blitz-uk.co.uk/Category-9.aspx
Elmo
The "R" replaces the full exhaust The "S" replaces the back box. Reason I asked is on the Blitz website is says that the S is not interchangeable with the R, I thought they must be completely different. merckx
If you look for the Supra one, the "S" splits into 2 pipes to fit the stock exhaust. You cannot buy the rear pipe with the intent of buying the front pipe later as there isn't one. The "R" doesn't split up .
Elmo
I see, thanks for clearing that up
merckx
I've just realised that it says the NA and TT have different rear pipes, you still cannot buy the front pipes separately though.
Elmo
Is there much of a difference between buying the S or the R, do they sound the same?
merckx
The "R" will definately be louder but I'm not sure by how much, most owners tend to go for the full system. If you do get one make sure you have a good shop around , they're a heck of a lot cheaper than when I bought my Nur Spec R. The ones on the Blitz site aren't cheap. (or I hope you can) as I have trhe S - nice controlled sound. Rich

tDR
The Nur Spec R has always been my favourite exhaust note. Nice deep burble at idle and a really smooth aggressive tone when you open it up - absolutely sings at high RPM under load. If you're just cruising on the motorway it's very quiet too - only when you accelerate does it sound loud. Build quality is 1st class too with some of the best welding I've seen on an exhaust and it's full stainless so no rot issues. Cheers, Brian. Fifty
Where did you buy yours from, can you remember how much? Envy - give em a ring but caution remember the S id s only going to be an intermediate step I went for it because my back box -oh err was rusty anyway. It is quite quiet but superbly made. around 3Hpound
