Hks bov or blitz?

is this loud? also how many can be fitted to a stock engine? which are better?

I think four is quite normal. Plus if you look on ebay there's a kit where you can mic it up to your phat stereo.

Lots of good stuff being said about the HKS sequential being the best. Quite a few techie people on the forum lovin' it.

ssqv is best imho, cos its a pull type so you dont have to worry about springs in the other dump valves

The HKS is 'techincally' a good one, except if you have a single turbo conversion. It sounds a bit gay though... personally I always hated it on my BPU car. My old style blitz sounded great, just like a bus door.

Is it normal for a hks ssqv to sound like someone strangling a cat when letting off the throttle slowly?

Normally on the M-way after a bit of throttle, gets a bit embarrasing. Does the normal sound if i come off fully

Under low boost you'll hear the turbo stall where it doesn't release properly (tsk-tsk-tsk sound).

I wouldn't buy another, the cheap as chips XS power one sounds "better" and seems to do the job as well, if not better than tha HKS. It only costs about £40 too.

I woudn't bother with the induction kit (if you have the stock airbox already), but you probably know what most people think of that aftermarket tat by now

Thats odd, Is it some sort of custom IC pipework? The HKS, Greddy, ARC, etc stuff should fit fine with the stock airbox?

nope its the greddy 2 row and i tryed but it dont fit all the kit came complete otherwise i would of kept it, il try again tommorow

I know a few local people who have the Greddy 2-row kit and it fits fine over the stock airbox. It is rather tight so might need some adjustment.

i had 2 blitz's both on my old gt4, running only 380bhp on 1.4 bar, they both died in 4 weeks, brand new. Then i tried a sard r2d2, that lasted 5 months, before the spring started weakening, then a bailey, same thing. Ive run a HKS ssqv on my gt4, soarer and now supra and have had no such problems. So thats the only one id ever use. never had a single turbo supra though

This is a stiffer spring for the Blitz BOV. If your BOV is currently unable to hold all your boost then you should install this spring (takes about 3 minutes).

This spring works on both the Blitz Dual Drive and the older Super Sound BOV.
