Rust starting on sills?

Over the last 12 months I have noticed a rust line starting to apperar on the top of my side skirts. The skirts are fibreglass so the line has to be from the bottom of the door. On closer inspection i noticed that the paint was wearing away underneath the door. I asked a friend who was a sprayer, and he said it was probably the skirts had been put on to high, and theyve worn of the paint underneath the door. Since then Ive changed the OEM skirts to Veilside ones, and whilst fitting them I realised they cant be put on to high, or low. So can the door height be adjusted? Has anyone else had this happen, as Ive seen loads of supras with rust lines on the skirts. Does anyone know the best way to repair this. I thought about having the bottom of the door sanded, primed and resprayed.

One of the easiest things to do is have the skirts sanded slightly in order to remove a small surface layer from the skirts. This will not create an imbalance in the level of the surface of the skirt if the work is done correctly.

The doors can be adjusted slightly so that is alternative option too!

I've had my doors ground down!

Really? That's one way of sorting it I guess.

I'm thinking of getting some kind of protective film for mine like the anti stone ship stuff. I fear it'll just wear off though. It only rubs very slightly, but it is annoying.
