jamesmark
They look out of alignment, as above take against a white wall or garage door
SatSport
will try that tomorrow night, i do know headlights were set fine for MOT a couple of months ago (with std. bulbs tho) ........ now maybe a hid bulb not in correctly?

The bar that goes accross the bulb should go a long the bottom, mines when fitted were a bit off until I changed that.
SatSport
The bar that goes accross the bulb should go a long the bottom, Oh, didn`t know that, will check. Also wonder being fitted in Facelifts make a difference?
Gamer
I had HID's in my mains/dipped and fogs on my facelifts with no problems..
ivan
Looks OK to me but a pic against a wall would tell for sure.
Chiefgroover
You'll blind everyone on the carriageway inside lane with that Roy. The MOT setting the locals do is too high even with STD bulbs. I'd drop it a bit or get a UK spec with the level adjustment
SatSport
They look out of alignment, as above take against a white wall or garage door checked everything over again, noticed one of the bulbs not seated properly on the lugs (they`re a tight bugger).. ..taken against a wall at 5 meters or so (both are Dip),... what you reckon now? http://img110.imageshack.us/img110/9209/hidnewvv7.jpg http://img264.imageshack.us/img264/2329/hid1ey4.jpg
Chiefgroover
Get neil to set it on his machine, and use the lower setting of the MOT threshold.
garethr
That looks like a perfectly normal dip pattern to me. Higher on the left to illuminate the nearside without dazzling oncoming traffic. Whether it's too high is another matter......
ivan
Rule of thumb when setting dip beam height is to park 2 or 3 feet away from a wall and mark the beam heights on the wall with a pencil. Reverse up to about 10' and recheck. The beam should now be a little lower (2"-3"). Always got me through the MoT in the old days.
