View Full Version : JAE 27th July 2003, Billing, Northampton
Billing Aquadrome is home to the annual Japanese Autoextravaganza. This event runs over 2 days with UK Supras and mkivsupra.net attending the second day, Sunday 27th July. All makes of Japanese cars will be there, from Datsun Cherrys to Nissan Skylines to Toyota Supras. We have been allocated 95 spaces but expect more cars than this on the Sunday.
The organisers have been given the whole of Shelduck Meadow for the event, which is basically an open air car show.
A full site map can be seen here Site Map (http://www.aquadrome.co.uk/sitemap.htm) The car show is in Shelduck 2 at the top of the map, camping is in the field to the left of Shelduck 2. There is a one way system operating so please follow the signs when on site. We are at the very top of Shelduck 2 near the river that runs at the back of Billing.
The web site for Billing itself is www.aquadrome.co.uk
Prices and Camping (prices are provisional, please check with Aquadrome for details)
Entrance to Billing is £5 per car per day.
A number of people have expressed an interest in camping on the Saturday night. There is ample camping space within Shelduck meadow and it is possible to buy a ticket to cover you for camping on both Friday and Saturday night. The normal entrance to Billing is £5, but if you are camping Friday and/or Saturday then it will cost £12. Once inside the Billing complex the JAE event is free.
Maps and Directions
Maps and Directions to Billing Aquadome (double circles on the map)
From the M1 Jcn 15 follow signs for Northampton on the A508, which turns into the A45 after going over a large flyover. Billing Aquadrome should be clearly signposted and the entrance is located just off the A45. Billing is about 4 miles from the M1.
From the A1 going south take the A605 from Peterborough, which turns into the A45 at Thrapston (A14 jcn), and follow the A45 for 35 miles all the way into Northampton where you follow the signposts as above.
Best route from the A1 heading north, would be turn off for Bedford (A603), turning just south of the Sandy roundabout, and get on the Bedford bypass (A421), heading toward the M1. Next turn off for Kempston and get on the A5314 + then join A428 to Northampton, then you should be ok as Billing is signposted about 2-3 miles before you get to Northampton

Convoy Points
Sunday 27th July Meeting Point
As in previous years we will be meeting up prior to the event and driving in as a group. As per last year, we will be meeting at the southbound services at junction 15A of the M1. We will be meeting at the services at 9.30am for a 9.45am departure. The services can be seen circled in the map above. If you are coming up the M1 from the south come off at junction 15a and instead of going into the northbound services follow the road round to the left, go underneath the M1, turn left again and keep going straight into the services. Do not head back onto the M1 southbound. When we leave at 9.45am we will be going on to the M1, going to junction 15 then heading down the A508 and then on to the A45 and on to Billing which is signposted from the M1 anyway.
There are other initial meeting points from the south and the north detailed in posts below.

This year there will be a radio station broadcasting from the JAE, the frequency is
87.9Mhz
It is expected to have a 3 mile transmit range so you should be able to hear it as you get close to Billing.
JB
What time on Sunday morning will everyone leave the Billing camp site to make their way to the services?
Barney
94UKMK1VTT
Its a 10 minute drive at the most, so if you leave Billing at 9.20am then you should be there with plenty of time to spare.
Everybody should by now be aware that reckless behaviour inside Billing will not be accepted and will result in immediate removal from the site. Its also worth noting that Northampton police are famous for their zero tolerance of motoring offences. While driving round Northampton stick to speed limits, do not be reckless, and most importantly of all, if you have been drinking the night before then be very sure you are sober when you next drive your car.
It should be a great event so I look forward to seeing you all there.

updated main thread above.
Just been out to buy a gazeebo (3mx3m £9.99 at Sainsburys) so if it rains we can squash all 95 members under the gazeebo :)

A gazebo's not a bad idea - I've got a 3m x 3m, think I'll bring it along as the weather seems a bit unpredictable at the mo!
Maybe a bulk buy @ Halfords on Shammie Leathers :)

Where was everybody? There were about a dozen MkIVs and a few odd ones scattered about the site. I didn't realise so many 300ZXs were made! Lots of FTOs, MR2s, Lexus and even about 6 Toyota Seras... but where were the Supras? I know it was Saturday, but it was a disappointment.
We all go on Sunday. Should be over 100 of them tomorrow if the weather holds out. Most people dont want to camp over so they would choose one day or the other, so we tend to choose the Sunday.

john what was weather like?
i am in 2 minds about going tommorow. heard it was supposed to be raining all weekend
hope you had a good day
Yep Supra showing was not the best, did see the Kindell machine purging away though.
BTW Not sure where all 60+ supras are gonna park, looked to me like room for 25-30 in the area we gathered in today, with surrounding areas full with celica's etc. looks like someone may have muscled in on our 'empty' designated area.
Monkeymark, weather was ok, few spots of rain. However on the way back down south it was hammering down only 10-15 miles south of Northampton and is still raining down here in Surrey now..................
I was very dissapointed too. I was expecteding lots of supras and a big piss up on Saturday night - got nowt!
Also, there was no one there to tell anyone where to go or what to do.
I spoke to a few people = suprarob, MCanny and few others. No one seemed to have shown there spec sheets though so I couldnt tell who was who - ah well.
Think I need to goto a few smaller meets to get to know people before I do that again.
Also, who was the bloke I spoke to Sunday morning about his stereo, I didnt get your name? - Who did you say made the box for your sub???
And who was the chap with the shiny bits and pieces, I liked the look of the Induction pipe but I didnt get a chance to ask him about it.
Think I might sell my supra and get another one imported with all kinds of bells and whistles on it for next year, might get noticed then!!!
Paul.
Oh yeah, it hammered it down from about 8pm til 12ish - so I was stuck in my tent all night - bummer!!
Paul.
I got there Saturday afternoon, was quite sunny while I set up camp and cooked some food on the bbq, but then it rained for the rest of the evening and all night. :(
There was a good turnout of Supras on Sunday. Thanks Mark for lending me a bucket and sponge. The purge kit looks the business.
Paul, I think that was me you spoke to about my Sound system. Matt Harwood installed it and built the custom sub box. Work was done at Sextons Park Wood, Maidstone, Kent. 01622 683044
Nice to see the usual suspects again and meet some new faces.
Well folks - what a good turn out!
Shame we had f**k all space to arrange our motors - looked like some poorly arranged car showroom in the end - the Celicas had a nice arrangement though . . . ?
Still - at least we had a real good presence - I heard a few people around the show talking about when the convoy arrived in the morning.
The southern convoy up from Watford was pretty good fun - enjoyed holding a steady 70 with 3 Supras abreast on the M1 (har har Beemer drivers wanting to get by)
Weather turned out great - even got a bit of a tan.
Was good to see so many faces off the BBS.
Can I say a special thanks to Gavin for helping me get some grub and haul the wheelchair thru the mud in the morning!
Thanks also Branners for organising.
Good day out.

I had a big copy of my Avatar in the windscreen for ID, but was most notable for having the very dirty Supra!
Couldn't make Sunday though - how was it?
Saturday was awful thanks to the weather. I saw a few Supes drive passed.. may have been you John.
I think the weather put many people off from turning up. The area we had was desserted and I think that put people off from wanting to move in and instead just wait for Sunday which was a much better day.
I just checked the plans and the organiers royally fked up.
If you look at the attached file you can see D12 should have been up to the trees (the trees the Celica club were under) and the Celica club should have been on the other side of the trees where the mkiiis were. We should also have had the full run along the back where the Eclipse was parked and where we had to overflow some people to. Organisers said 'it was raining when we setup so the map was in the van, we did find a big space down the middle which surprised us'.
Still a great event, the future of which is in doubt again and they are considering everything from charging £1.50 per car up to £5 per car, getting proper marshalls, getting an events company to run it. So lord knows what it will be like next year.
Good to meet people today, I counted over 110 Supras scattered wildly in and around our area. We had 54 Supras in our reduced plot...
JB
Shame about that plot, I was lucky (with a few others down saturday) to get some decent spots. God knows what it would have been like if sundays weather was like saturdays!
Nice meeting all the peeps I spoke too etc, see you all at the next meet no doubt.
Firstly, a big thankyou to Branners for organising :) .Had a great day, shame i missed the convoy into Billing.......... i took a 'little' detour north on the M1 up to 17:( .Managed to catch up in the park though :innocent: (shortcut across the mud).I've honestly never seen so many Supras together:cool:, took a few pics that will be filtered onto the BB no doubt.
Great to put faces to names.

After Saturdays rain,we had the weather on our side, which was a bonus.Shame the parking was messed up as we had a massive turnout.
Who was the guy doing the group shoot? Is it for a mag or for us to buy?I might of just about got in it.............as i was at the front,:innocent: Al.
Yeah, great fun. The festivities on Saturday night were slightly dampened by the fact it pissed down for five hours straight, I still got hopelessly drunk though - and I was nice and warm because I was sitting in half a 200SX which was on fire at the time :D
You would have had loads of space if you'd arrived on Friday . . . . ;)
Adam! I saw you chatting to Terry today, but saw no one saturday, some guy who'd parked up with a Scooby next to the Supra area said you lot had all gone off down to a pub? :conf:
Where was your car parked?
I saw that 200SX too.. very funny :D

Was a great day, seeing all those Supras on the road at once was amazing, shame the convoy got separated quite a bit at times...
There was some seriously nice cars there and the weather turned out nice too
Also, I got to try out Pete Betts' new Dyno:

I saw Andy a couple of times but never caught up with you, I wanted a demo of your new exhaust! I got drunk on Saturday and got lured away by a strange man, then found lots of other strange men in the 200SX gazebo so I nicked six of their burgers and a bottle of their vodka :D :looney:
We had about 20 Mk3's parked up on the other side of the trees from you guys, sorta downhill from your overflow parking.
Hehe, no worries Adam, you know where we are if you wanna pop round one evening :) I was supposed to show Quasir too, but didnt get the chance to meet up with him.
Mark, nice numbers there
Great day out again....shame we missed the convoy, bt only decided to come midnight saturday.

glad to put faces to names at last,

really nice cars, shame about the space, I feel we were let down by the organisers. having the cars crammed in didn't show the club off very well.:(
hope you all a great day

John hope u whopped the GTir on the way home.....:innocent:
He was an iritating little s**t. dodging in and out like a fly on a cows arse!. he was blocking all the way ,came off at Edgware, wait till iI see that git again:eek:
Us.. I didnt see you roll up when I saw the bulk of the Supras join us.. didnt think you were there m8.
RE: wheels, yeah got them last month off B3any.. thy're real bastards to keep clean but I like em. :)
Andy was parked up with the Mazda Rotary Club (middle of the two fields).
I would have liked to spend a bit longer around the Supra area... but I was out and about visiting the different clubs etc :) plus I brought a m8 from the U.S. along so I sorta spent a lot of time with him showing him all the cars etc.
Food, really liked your car.. looked lovely with those wide arches :)
Cheers Bobbeh, & thanks to all for the nice comments ;)

Usmann, not sure who owned that other Supra but it had www.tuneacar.co.uk (http://www.tuneacar.co.uk) stickers all over it...and it wasn't as powerful as mine ("only" 348bhp apparently) :D
what a great day!
Lots of very nice cars
Really nice meeting new and old faces again. Us Girls finally got to meet, well me and Donna anyway. Were you there Faye? We tried to find you.
 weather was excellent, too hot for jeans and a black T-shirt, I'll know next time!
Nice also to meet Paul and Kelly with my old Aero-top. They have kept her in pristine condition :D, nice to know he's still pleased with her.

nice to see such a good turn out and meet so many old and new faces...to many to list but you know who you are:D
shame about the weather saturday night....although by the end of the night donna, the lads and i were so drunk nobody cared about the rain because we were having such a good laugh. i apologise now to those that saw me sunday..if i wasnt quite with it..im still suffering now:burp: :upside:
anyway good to see so many sup's in one place and look forward to seeing everyones pic's (i didnt take any as i couldnt keep the camera still) and the guy doing the group pic was from the new magazine called 'midnight uk' out soon, think he is in touch with branners (who can confirm?) and send copies of pic.
well off to bed now:blink:
aye, some nice supras, no clue as to who everyone was, except for a few.
did anyone see that black and yellow wide body gtr, amazing. it won some prize or summat.
I believe it won 3rd place for car of the show.. very nice :)
at the end of the day it was just a race car, but it looked so good. i stood and stared at it for quite a while. i'd shit yrself if that came up behind u on the motorway :)
what won 1st prize?
whos was the really loud car making popping sounds....I MEAN THE REALLY LOUD ONE.....??
which we could hear/feel from our area.
I personally reacon the car of the show should have been the Veilsidse 350Z....ummmmm:p
The yellow one had no engine in. The SX boys reckoned the chap had a Rolls Royve V12 quad-turbo to drop in there, may have been th beer talking but with the GTR lot who can say? The Fensport GT4 thingy was showing off the antilag Saturday, and there was a blue scooby doing the same on the Sunday. BANGBANGBANG :D

It did win I think. It was defo a 350Z that won anyway. Great day anyway, and cheers to lovatt for sorting me out some sandpaper & stuff to sort out my headlight. I haven't got up that early on a Sunday in living memory...
Gutted i missed it, sounds like it was good. was planning to go today but couldnt make it in the cos i was out til 4am yest and just slept thru most of today.
Bobbeh il have to hook up with u some other time to check out the zorst, ur only in bedford aint ya? not too far away
Would have to agree the parking was a little cozy. But it was good to put some faces to the members and at least the weather was nice on Sunday. Saturday night was a nightmare. Running drunk through the muddy puddles at 4am from your tent to the toilets is not fun!!!
What happened to the rims on the Fast & Furious Orange Supra?
Thanks Mcanny for the keyring.

If you heard it about every 5 mins, it was some guy in a flip paint skyline. Badging showed it as a GTS, no plate J***PAN. He gave that car some hammering pretty much all day.
Nice to meet some of you at last. Looking forward to the next meet already.
Who managed to get out in less than an hour at the end?
Thanks to Paul E a group of about 5 of us got out in about 5 minutes, sneaked out the back door. Will remember that for next year.
Some great Supras there this year, seems the supra modifications are coming on nicely, so many different sets of wheels which all looked nice.
JB
Smashing day out. Really glad I dragged myself along (its the first "proper" meet I've been to apart from RWYB at Pod a few months ago.
Like many have said above, its great to be able to put faces to avatars. If I had a pound for everyone who said "oh, you're the guy with the three-spokes"... :D
Really lucked out with the weather too. I was wondering if it would turn into an automotive Glastonbury, but in the end it was bright enough to catch a few rays, but not quite enough to burn you to a crisp.
Cheers to Ian for lending me some cleaning gear when I arrived (I'll be more organised next year). After getting up at 05:30 I was a bit punch-drunk by the time I arrived so a big apology to Gordon for the very surreal conversation I had with him. Of course I knew all along that your car is storm blue and you come from Beccles. I have met you three of four times before after all! :D I don't think my brain engaged properly until I got a cheeseburger down my neck...
Hi guys
A Top weekend, Did not manage to meet you all, as I moved my car to a tuning stand and completly the otherside of the show. Left a 2pm as had to be back for the little one.
Top weekend and we did not let the rain spoil the day.

By the way, did anyone apart from Ian and I follow the "Quck exit all routes" sign on the way out?
I think I got to see the whole of the site...

After sitting in a queue for over an hour, watching all the cars parked on the grass being let out at the front of the queue, I decided to see how well the MKIV would cope off road. I managed to get onto one of the roads among static vans/holiday homes. We quickly found a quick exit and got out. I thought the marshalling was dire, it was just a free for all.

Darren, i spoke to the site security while people were queuing to get out.I memorised his map for the exit which puts you out of the gate and onto the A45.
Had some wierd looks for the campers!Paul Y3k and myself, got out in under 5 mins without stopping!
Nice to spend a bit of time with you Darren, see you again.Al.
Was a good day out; weather was surprisingly kind. Parking, as has been said, was a nightmare! Was a bit distressed to get boxed in right in the centre, as I had to get home urgently by mid-afternoon, but luckily I managed to persuade a couple of Celica owners to create a way out for me, with about 2mm to spare either side! They were really nice guys, don't suppose they'll get to see this, but thanks again guys!
Oh and apologies to the lady sat on a camp chair directly behind my exhaust when I started her up to leave! I've never seen anyone leap from a chair so fast (or maybe she was blown!) :D
I had my spec sheet on display and was surprised how many people stopped and took time to read it. Definitely a good idea for next time, shame more people didn't stick one up.
Who's was the rather spiffing purple veilside kitted beast with spidepods replacing the rear side windows? Certainly novel!
Shame I didn't have more time to meet more of you guys. Some *really* nice cars on display. Many thanks for the keyring Michael - looks the biz!

Great day out and great weather as my tanned face proves.
The convoy up was fun as being on the M1 and only being able to see Supras was great an the look on the driver of other car as we came past was great. The car park at the Northhampton services was something to see as it was early all Supras. There must be loads of pics of that as the scooby behind me at one point had the passenger pointing the camera all over the place
The convoy was broken up after leaving the service station but that was because of the traffic light's on the Junction.
When i arrived i was sheeparded onto the grass by the lake, so left the car there to start with then went back and got it later. Though i did catch the exhaust as i left the carpark ... and my car isn't lowered.
Loads of nice car's around though that Veilside 350Z was a deserving winner. Does any one know what got 2nd prize as i didn't see it?
Lust2luv i've got a couple of pics of your exit through the Celica and the isn't much air between you and the cars around.
Though i talked to a few people, dought i'll remember names come the next meet so really need to pay more attention when introduced
Spoke to some of the GTIR owners next to us (last car was a GTIR so i knew some of them) as wanted to find the Guy who we past in convoy on the way up. Found him in the end as he was talking about getting "mobbed" by supras on the way up:D , said it was very impressive sight seeing nothing but supra spoliers in front.
The one way system was a bit of a joke on leaving but it gave me enough time to read that free mag that was handed out while i waited. Those who went out the "quick route" have any kids say "wheel spin, wheel spin"? or was it just me?
No just kids giving High Fives:D
I got the wheelspin thing as well, from the marks on the road it looks like they'd had some success. I revved mine up a bit and they went all hyper, then I shook my head at them and trundled off :D

I felt kinda special since I had the only Lexus GS300 Sport there. That could be either good or bad though ;)
Also, did anyone notice how there was no police anywhere in billing the entire weekend - I never saw one until we got onto the M1, very good I thought, think they were relying on people not to prat about from previous events.
I think 2nd place went to that mad 4x4 400bhp new Fensport Toyota Corolla 5dr!
Gaz.
I think you won a prize if you revved the cods off you car in the car park. I can't think of any other reason for doing it:innocent: TWATS
you obviously weren't looking very hard for 'supra birds' terry- i was there all weekend in my little number polishing my supra with pride behind mark's supra:( and angie was there sunday.. we didnt let the side down...im upset now.
hi to mark/mick and 'the mind of pointless information '(he,he-u know who u are) mark and i spent sunday in a sorry state following a great evening with these guys...never giggled so much in my life.
nice to meet angie at last as well...look forward to doing the quarter mile with you (promise i wont use the nos;)) and must definatly go for a drink at the next meet we both go to:D
had a great time, it was my first billing meet and definatly not my last..i normally let mark go alone thinking that it is nothing but walking around looking at cars all weekend..now i know different there are some great people and great laughs to be had by going and intend to go again.:D
Well I was supposed to be going both days, but then could only make the Sunday. However when Sunday arrived I was unfortunately throwing up for most of it. Nice.
Appologies to all my legions of fans who I know were obviously only attending Billing to see me. Unless there are any other chundering incidents next sunday I will be at TOTB2 and available for autograph signings.
Sounds like a missed a good one :(
I found it a great day out, fantastic arrangement of cars. Never seen so many GTR's, RX7's, 300ZX's and of course Supras in all my life!
The meet up at 15a was cool..... about 25+ Supras waiting until set off time then all of a sudden we hear growling and back popping from behind the trees then another 25+ Supras came roaring in!
The local plod parked up at the other side of the car park must have felt a bit scared being one police car versus 50+ modified Supras! (+ R32 Skyline that fitted in quite nicely to our 'gathering').
Convoy into Billing was great...... seeing so many Supras in a single line along a dual carriageway was definately something to remember. I got my bro to take some video footage so I'll get it uploaded a.s.a.p.
Good to meet some of you guys, dude with 1999 Black Supra (sorry forgot your name), very cool Supra indeed, looked absolutely mint. Kawasaki blue Supras look the business too.
I asked one of you guys at the start of the day which one was Branners and as I spoke a rather big boned (can I say that?) chappie walked past with 'Branners' in big letters on his t-shirt , and I said 'is that him?' doh!
Yeah someone else told me Branners had a big bone too.
R
Im not big boned, Im fat...oh no wait thats the wrong way round. bugger.
I find the t-shirt helps a little at these events. My main problem is remembering all the people I meet.
The bloke taking the group photo was from midnite-uk, JimGill on this BBS is the editor for that mag so Im sure he can let us have the group photo picture. I think next year I will arrange for everybody to be there for the group photo as its a good idea.
Star cars of the show for me were Darryls silver car with overfenders, foodfreaks blue with overfenders and Mark Ks silver with those little pipes sticking out of the bonnet (did you demo what they are for?), but just to see that many Supras jammed in to the parking space was great.
Are people saying the convoy from j15a to Billing broke up? I was sitting at 50mph most of the way, not sure I could have gone any slower. I know the convoy from J6 got a bit broken up, but thought the one in to Billing stayed together?
JB
Hi All :)
A most impressive display of Supras at JAE, probably too many on Sunday as they were parked so close together it wasn't really possible to walk around them, time for a larger area next year
I'm assuming it was someone on here that was travelling back up the M6 with a video camera on Sunday evening? I was heading back up to Scotland in my red RX-7 with a mate in his flip'd FTO at a very sedate pace (car has a fondness for petrol I can't really afford  ) and we were joined for half an hour by a nice Supra around the Lancashire border (around 6pm I'd guess). So thought I'd pop over and say hi :)
The very noisy Skybus was with us at the SS-R display as well, it does get a bit tiring after the first few times but it keeps Marc happy and always seems to be encouraged by the crowds. Personally I spent a lot of time with mates at the RX-7 displays to escape from it :conf:
May see some of you at TOTB next weekend :D

Yeah, it fractured leaving the motorway at the lights. Took at least 3 cycles to get everyone thru, so even at 50mph we were probably about 1.5 miles behind and after that there was so much traffic that even judicious use of the loud pedal and some sneaky undertaking couldn't catch us back up. It kinda got back together coming up off that A road. Hard to see what more could have been done to keep it together (short of forming a quick roadblock and running the red lights!)

Good to see you all, met three new peeps who wanted to join, lots of fun on the way up and down. Angie, how big has that plastic nob gotta be? ...... for the gear lever people... shuks.
Not enough trade, or discounts! Missed 150,000 people attending WSB at Brands for this show, the trade and discounts for bike stuff is superb - a long way to go for this show, as shows go.
Good to see so many SUP's.;)
Thanks Branners.
PS: Gear lever is reduced to club members at £80. Havent got a pic so... Angie?
Does anyone have any figures for cars or people ?
How come you didn't have your neons on Mid'lifecry'sis? I think that they would just finish your Supra off. :p

neon’s and daylight - maybe one day technology will allow a'?;)
ps: ficken spent four hour cleaning that bugger, first with auto red then gold... the heavens open, then again, then on the way up.... how did you all manage such clean motors!
preparation prevents piss poor presentation a'!;)
PS? Jason m8 > who were u!!!! lol soz
I got to about 110 cars, but they were scattered wildly around the area. We had 54 in the squash plot, another 40 or so in the overflow but then the others scattered.

My car was the "over the top" Supra on Sumo Power's stand. My wife, Pippa, was talking to you at some stage.

Shame I missed you m8, superb car, don't think that it would fair against my 4000 miles a month for work.. I must be the only guy in the UK who does that to a SUP! :twak:
Speak soon yeah > oh, and say hi to your wife who was very helpful..... cheers;)
;) :p :sex:
I've got the number of the leather guy at home, i will dig it out at send you the number. His work is second to none, it took him 3 weeks to fit all 7 hides in there.
I'll tell my wife what you said, she'll be highly embarressed.

hi there, you need to modify a plastic tube to half an inch to fit ref the gear knob...any probs mark kindell (other half) can help he had the first one...got it last year at billing...there has been a picture of 'marks knob' :D on the forum when first fitted. the gear lever is not actually reduced to club members to £80 i told the guy that sold you yours sunday (and angies) that mark got his for £80 which was a little white lie to get us some discount....but it worked:D

It's going to look fantastic when its on... mmmm, racing Bri to the item was funny, he's an ex SAS hard man with rocks for bollocks so despite my 16 stone, 6'2 appearance FOR SOME REASON ... he beat me 2 it!!!! LOL, I think free falling from 80,000 feet, opening chute at 200 ft and taking out the RAZO team was a little much but each to there own a'...
We both went for the MATT finish...cool... and cheap thanks to your charm, wit and very unaffordable good looks I'm sure!;)
;)
Robertio : Yeah that was me in the silver Supra, we were heading back to Cumbria. We did some filming of both your RX7 and that mad coloured FTO.
Good to travel with other smart cars on the road.

They look like great vids, but they play all "jerky" - is it just my machine/software or are they like that...?
I think it's just because real format is GASH.
:(
I tried doing it in mpg format but the quality was shocking, and AVI files are just plain too big. Thats the best I could do with my software unfortunatly.
They aren't that jerky are they? Most of it plays ok on my PC.
Cheers AJI, it was good, as you said it's always nice to travel with other nice cars  especially as we were pottering, getting over 26mpg out of an RX-7 is hard work :conf:
The paint on the FTO is really good, sitting behind it for many hours I got to see how it changed from being in direct sunlight through to when it was almost dark outside.
The videos are very jumpy, unfortunately it's a choice between that and small files, or very large but clear picts. Always nice to be famous either way :D
On Saturday I was parked behind Marcs Skyline (the loud popping and banging one) not something I did on the Sunday - I fancied having a front bumper left on my car
