OK, so i have the film in .avi format and i have my sub in .srt format. Now obviously when i play the film from here it's all fine and the subs come up. But i want to convert the .avi to a .vob file and im using dvdsanta which says it's using BOTH files in the conversion, but when i play back the DVD no subs are present. Anyone recommened another program or know what im doing wrong??

i download so much Japanese, Chinese and Korean TV series and movies, and personally i would not waste the time convert to a VOB. for divx and Xvid, keep files same and you are ok, and they will play on most standalone players anyway.

this afternoon i have just burnt 9 DVD of Asian TV doramas, and so this is a regular thing for me, but i would not bother with VOB's

check out www.vcdhelp.com if you want to convert to a VOB, or do other things. haven't tried it myself, but use that site a lot for other things

btw, get hold of Subtitle Workshop that is really useful. i use it for retiming english subs to asian stuff, and sorting out problem subtitles that are not in correct english.

Cheers guys, gonna have a go at the ImToo program. It's just to convert Babel and Pan's Laybrinth which need subs. :)
