Nice one. I bought my wife one for her birthday last month. Use it all the time. Pizza dough is especially good. :)

Just making a large white loaf now.

Thats what we made! Tasted ok but I thought it was a little thick if you get what I mean, needs a bit more air in it or something! But for our first attempt its edible!
I do have a bit of a iffy arse twitch now though!

We got 40 cards with diffrent types of bread, rolls, pizza bases etc but we went to the shops last night as we wanted to try the lemon, black pepper and sea salt rolls but couldn't find some dried active flour, nothing said 'active'. got the yeast etc..

If you want any recipies i'll send you them if you like!

Your taking the p!ss ain't you! But are you buying the stuff you just add water and put in the oven or the prope stuff you put in the machine and let it do all the work?

Or another thing you could try is to use a bread knife instead of your own sword when the bread is still warm!

Proper maker dude, you get all the ingredients and put them in the machine and it does all the kneeding etc for you! But i've been told its all to do with how you put the ingredients in as to how it comes out, even says on the cards to put the flour in before the yeast etc!!

No Im not taking the piss thats the thing, I stopped using it coz there is no point if I cant cut the bread! The outside is nice and crispy. Yeh Im buying the stuff where you just add water, thats how I dont understand why its not working. Its a kenwood as well.

Stick some extra baking powder in it, but not too much....

I only use the Allinson products (strong flour quick acting yeast etc) for my maker. Works fine.

Cool, im glad it mixes it as otherwise it would be just an oven wouldn't it :D
But don't you need to give it time to rise though?? Or does it do that too??

We have a bread maker, I use it all the time as I'm allergic to wheat. The order to put the ingredients in definately makes a difference to the outcome of the bread. You can't beat the taste of a fresh loaf

Yeh as Kev said, does everything for you and ours has 3 different crust settings (light, medium and dark) and adjusts the time accordingly.

We noticed the smell last night too, my other half wanted some at about half 1 this morning!

We normally make it in the morning which has been real handy lately as we've been selling our house, it's the first thing people comment on when they walk in the house, feels very homely ;)

To be honest, I put it up as a bit of a laugh, got a random text from Graham about his breadmaker this morning at 2am... so figured I'd put up a sarcy post, even I didn't think it would turn in to a breadmaker comparison thread.. :p
